A hot-headed princess, Lei, strongly opposes Prince Baekhyun when he comes to her shores seeking refuge from his nation’s civil war. To her, he speaks of trouble, given he hails from a long line of vicious rulers and a nation infamous for brutality. However, upon his arrival, Lei and her brother Kai are shocked to find a peaceful boy with literal flowers blooming on the ground he walks.

While they are initially suspicious, within the span of a few days, Baekhyun wins the heart of Lei’s nation, Helios, to much of her dismay. The people and everyone else Lei trusts believe Baekhyun to be a kindhearted soul who can do no wrong. To make matters worse, Kai actually expects her to act friendly towards Baekhyun. This alone causes a myriad of conflicts that ends in burned property, hurt prides, and frustration on Lei’s end.

In response, she hatches a short-lived plan to expose the monster she thinks Baekhyun to be truly be, but it goes nowhere. Because as Lei begins to understand and befriend Baekhyun, she discovers that there are far more shocking truths and secrets surrounding him—and none of them regard his personality.
