Description
It is said that the Prince's Sword is chosen by Heaven itself. They are meant to live and die for their Prince and that is what he trained his entire life to become. Yet, Heaven seems to have different plans and he decides enough is enough, for if he cannot be the new Sword, then why not become the King, instead.
He will wield his own sword.
He will sit on that throne and wear that crown.
And, if he must burn the whole world to ashes first, then so be it.
He will be King. He will not be forgotten. He deserves this.
Foreword
His deep voice startles her, echoing through the bathing chamber, drifting through the steam in such a way that she finds herself drawn to him, as she always is, despite everything that she is, everything that she wants, everything that he is, would become for that beautiful, gilded crown sitting so faraway, atop the head of a beautiful, gilded king.
“Where I shall rise, he will crumble.” He says, with such ardor, such determination, that she feels it at the pit of her stomach, she feels it in the way the hairs at the back of her neck and along her arms stand on end, goosebumps trailing up and down her dark skin despite soaking in the hot bath. “He will burn.”

notes: i reread carry your throne the other day because i was contemplating turning it into a full chaptered fic bc there's a lot of things I never got to go into that I wanted to go into and one day I will do that when i dont have a million other chaptered fics to finish. BUT pcy's character showed up and I was like YOOOOOOOOO so here is rebel king chanyeol !!!! you don't have to read carry your throne at all to get this, it's a separate supplement thing about chanyeol's character and works entirely on its own! paranthesis parts are what's happening currently, until it comes full circle.
some extra notes: i think there should be more dark skin representation on aff, so oc is depicted as half korean with dark skin! also im loosely following the royal heirarchy regarding royal women in the palace from research via Wikipedia lmao
