Never had she thought about him sitting next to her, eating out in a restaurant and bringing the memories of the dessert she made back then.

He answered the phone and a soft voice spoke, “Jinyoung, it’s me.” Yiseol could hear the lady’s voice coming out and almost gotten herself alerted. She could guess who the lady was on the other side of the phone although she couldn’t hear what the latter was saying.

“I know.”

“Are you busy? Sorry to disturb you.”

“It’s okay. I am in Gwangju now.”

“G-gwangju?” the lady stuttered in surprised after realised where he was.

“Yes, for a business trip. Is there any problem?” Jinyoung asked calmly while examined the lady in front of him. Yet, the lady just acted as nothing happened and devoured her dessert.

“Jinyoung-ah, Doyoung hasn’t seen you for a long time. He kept asking me when you be coming to see him,” she giggled as if she didn’t know he was far from her and pretended he could come back on her request.

Thought of the boy, his heart became warm, “I have a lot of works lately. I will try to spare some time for him.”

“Doyoung just came back from school. He wants to talk to you.”

Without waiting for Jinyoung’s reply, the boy had taken over the phone and said, “Daddy, where are you? I missed you so much! Why didn’t you come and see mummy and me?”

“Sorry Doyoung, I am working in Gwangju now. I am going back to Seoul this evening and only can see you then, okay?”

Listening to his word, Yiseol only realised how eager he was to go back to Seoul to meet the lady and her child. The gentleness in his voice was also what she had a longing in the past.
