It’s been almost a month since SeungWan lay on the hospital bed peacefully. The number of bandages on his body decreases slowly. So did the number of machines. Every single day, Joohyun will visit him. Tell him stories, crack some jokes, brought him his favourite food in case he would wake up suddenly.

“SeungWan-ah… When are you going to fulfil the promise you have made to Seulgi – To us… She’s been waiting every day. I’ve been waiting everyday… Shouldn’t you have been awake by now?” Joohyun says as he gently wiped his hands with the wet cloth.

“Unnie, you are here earlier today…” Joy comments as she enters the room with the data and a bouquet of blue roses. She nicely arranged the roses into the vase which seems to instantly brighten up the gloomy room.

“Thank you, Sooyoung-ah…”

“No, it’s nothing. I’m used to it…” Joy trailed off as she observes the pale woman before her.  She noticed that she began to look more pale and fragile. Those eyebags seems to darken. Her cheeks seem to have sunken.

“Unnie, are you hungry?” Joohyun only shook her head as she continues to wipe the limbs of SeungWan. Joy saw the thermal flask and knew what was in it, knew who it was made for. Yet, she still proceeds to pour it into a bowl.

“Unnie, take a break. Drink this porridge. I know you made it for SeungWan-oppa, but I assure you he would have wanted you to take it before him.” Joy offers Joohyun the porridge and stares into her orbs. When Joohyun had no reaction, Joy simply dump the wet cloth on to the bedside locker and place the bowl in her hands.

“Porridge isn’t enough, I’ve packed some kimchi and egg roll. You can also have those meat slices.” Joy proceeds to take out her lunch box before equipping herself with a chopstick and rice. “Hurry up and eat it!” Joy added as she gobbles down her meal.

The meal was silent as neither speak. When Joohyun only ate her plain porridge, Joy added the side dishes into the bowl and ensure she finishes it. Once done, Joohyun offered to wash the used utensils but Joy was faster. Joohyun breathed a ‘Thank You’ which Joy simply didn’t care. Just as she was washing, a sudden shout from Joohyun got her running to the bedside. She saw the moving of SeungWan fingers and immediately alerted the doctors.
