The Tale of Fall

Description

Every month has a mood, a feeling, some combination of memories, moments and nostalgia. You know it; you feel it, even if you’ve never really thought about it. In September, the beginning of the autumn is coming. Autumn is sad and lonely. Autumn is also the season of yearning. People always recall many past events in the autumn: happy and sad.

Foreword

September 13th (Cloudy)

My name is Kim SoEun. Today is the first day to step into a city that is completely new to me.

In the rear seat, SoEun cast her sights on the scenery outside the car and looked at the scenery along the way.

Suddenly a familiar voice sounded from the right side. "Has school already started?"

"Yeah." SoEun turned her head to the source of the sound and gently nodded her head. "Two weeks ago!"

"Are you going to school tomorrow?" This a voice from a teenage boy said with a little indifferent tone.

"Tomorrow submit some supplementary documents and formally start the day after tomorrow." SoEun slightly stretched her arms and waist in the limited space.

He nodded with understanding, and then he did not ask any further. He is her younger brother, Kim SeokJin. He goes by the name “Jin”, but SoEun is the only one who allows to call him that.

The taxi drivers sent SoEun and SeokJin to their new home. Only SoEun and SeokJin moved to this new city at a time, but they had a lot of luggage. Pulling on the deadly weighed baggage, SoEun kept talking about it with regret.

‘Gotta behave like a man. Everything is reluctant to throw away; otherwise, I just end up reaping what I have sown.’ As SoEun was worried about how to carry these bags upstairs into her new home, she felt the luggage she holding in her hand became lighter all of sudden.

SoEun looked down and saw SeokJin's hand. He grabbed the luggage on SoEun’s hand.

"I'll take care of it, you take lighter one." After the words, SeokJin's hands full of luggage and went upstairs.

SoEun stood on the spot, looking at the back of SeokJin, her lips rising involuntarily. Lifting up the handbag on the ground, SoEun quickly followed the SeoJin’s pace and went upstairs with SeokJin.

SoEun ran to the door and took out the key to the new home from her pocket. The door opened as SoEun twisted the key to the right.

Together, they walked into the hallway of the house and SoEun closed the door. "Put your luggage in the bedroom first."

Listening to SoEun’s words, SeokJin went straight to SoEun’s room, put down SoEun’s stuff, and returned to his own room.

After unpacking the luggage, SoEun stepped out of her room and came to the kitchen. SeokJin was preparing the dinner. Seeing the busy SeokJin, SoEun felt that she must do something.

SoEun walked next to the SeokJin, took the necessary cutlery, and then began to arrange the dining table.

"Tomorrow you will go to school in the early morning and now go to bed for me." SeokJin pushed SoEun into her bedroom.

“The drama is going to end soon. After watching it, then sleep. How about that?” SoEun pleaded for SeokJin with her puppy-like eyes. Who’s the oldest one here?!

"No!" Seokjin rejected SoEun's request cruelly and gave her a ‘not negotiated’ look.

With no alternative, SoEun had to climb up to bed and drifted off to the dreamland.
