Description
With a father engulfed in his creations of machinery, Baekhyun finds himself in the company of artificial intelligence almost endlessly. The lot are identical, programmed to carry out equivalent functions, to serve their creator's only child as a substitute for his absense. Baekhyun grows apathetic towards his attendants, observing their mundane routines day by day, yearning for a difference.
And soon the day came,
a new addition.
Foreword
"I can follow you down there today?"
"Not the entire time son, for a moment."
The rusty stairs squeaked under the heavy footsteps of the elder male, followed by the hasty ones of a boy. Mechanic echoes of the iron doors boomed as the labotary stood beyond them. With his hands entwined behind his back, the wary scientist motioned his son forward to a secluded area of the basement.
"I'ts been something I've been working on for a while now. He- It'll be different from the others," the man remarked, scanning his developing invention sheltered in a glass case.
Baekhyun leaped forward, hands out ready to rest against the glass, followed by pressing his face close by, squinting at whatever he is presented to.
"Behind the line son."
He stumbled a little before dropping on the ground. Raising his head, he gazed.
A man, much older than him yes, but not like papa. Definitley not like papa. Just in the middle perhaps, like a young adult.
"Who will it be papa?" Baekhyun asked, curiousity decorating his tone as the little boy stood agape. "You will help me with this project when you're ready, son."
"What do you call him papa?" the boy asked once more.
"Project Model-2312, Type Kai."'
