I just finished my Bachelor Degree in the Uk and started my work as Strategic Consultant. The nice thing about this job was that I could travel a lot while working and thus was what I was planning to do because I can't live with my parents forever... 

And today was the day... I dragged my big silver suitcase out to my front door while waiting for my cab.

" Are you sure you want to do this?" my mom said to me in a worried look and I nodded my head smiling back at her. 

" Yes, mom. I need to be independent" I told her and gave her and my dad a hug. My dad was never much of the talker but he would always support me with my decisions, I guess he trusted me. 

I put my luggage into the cab. My heart was racing as if I never travel aboard alone. Looking at my Van Cleef and Arpels watch that I received as a Birthday Present from my parents I noticed that I was very short on time.

As I reach the airport I notice that it was awfully cramped. More cramped than usual. But no time to observe as I rushed to get my luggage out the trunk of the cab and speed walk to the check-in counter.

"Ugh, why did I wear heels to the airport, who am I gonna impress," I thought to myself while the counter staff was printing my Airplane ticket.
