Lore. during the omnic crisises prior, the world took to creating teams and factions to help protect their countries or people. all characters in our roleplay will be based in one of these factions, either because of moral alignment, their past, or their birthplace. please consider these before selecting a faction, as changing it will only be allowed with good reason.

overwatch. once a world-renowned peacekeeping organization created by the united nations and headed by jack morrison, gabriel reyes, and winston, overwatch now functions as a rag-tag group of individuals signalled from the two overwatch watchpoints: watchpoint gibraltar, in spain, and watchpoint antarctica. the alignment of overwatch is lawful good and lawful neutral. overwatch members are enemies with talon members.
ㅤblackwatch. a sub-unit of overwatch, blackwatch is the covert operations unit. the alignment of blackwatch is lawful neutral.
talon. created by figures such as gabriel reyes who had once been part of overwatch, talon acts as a terrorist organization. they operate internationally, but their headquarters is chateau guillard, in france. the alignment of talon is chaotic neutral and chaotic evil. talon members are enemies with overwatch members.

crusaders. a german paramilitary organization that was active during crisises. the members are known to wear suits of armor and use enormous melee weapons such as warhammers and maces. the fate of the crusaders became optimistic through reinhardt wilhelm's work with german youth. their headquarters are in eichenwalde, germany. the alignment of the crusaders is lawful good and lawful neutral.
ironclad guild. the ironclad guild is an organization of mechanics and engineers, known members being heroes such as torbjorn lindholm. they are developers of weapons and machinery useful in times of crisis. their headquarters are in sydney, australia. the alignment of the ironclad guild are any.
meka. short for the mobile exo-force of the korean army, the meka was south korea's response to the first omnic crisis. they created piloted drones that were popularized by the hero and starcraft player d.va. their headquarters are in seoul, south korea. the alignment of meka are neutral good and true neutral.
vishkar corporation. a company based in southern india, known for its achievements in hard-light and development of self-sustaining urban areas. their headquarters are in utopaea, india. the alignment of vishkar corporation are neutral and neutral evil.
volskaya industries. volskaya industries was russia's response to fighting the omnic crisis without the help of overwatch, using svyatogor mechs to protect russia. during times without crisis, they manufacture cars. their headquarters are in the volskaya industries headquarters, st. petersburg, russia. the alignment of volskaya industries are any.

omnics. omnics are robots with artificial intelligence, designed to serve the economy. omnics, since the first omnic crisis, have become second-class citizens in most cities. they are faced with anti-omnic sentiments in cities such as london, but are safe and treated as equals in numbani, in the nigerian savanna. omnics include heroes such as bastion, a peaceful bastion unit, as well as zenyatta, an omnic guru and previous monk.
the shimada clan. a once well-known family syndicate that operated from hanamura, japan, the heroes hanzo and genji hailed from this clan. both sons had previously encountered overwatch, genji having been saved by the organization.
the junkers. a rag-tag gang based in the irradiated australian outback, heroes such as junkrat and roadhog had once been part of this gang. upon the death of the queen, the junkers became defunt.
