CHAPTER 1

This day isn’t like the usual day that I have. As I was on my second class I heard my phone ring and saw my moms’ name on the screen.

“Hello Mom, you called.” Mom sounded in a hurry and said, “Dear, you better come home early from class Ok.” “Why mom, anything wrong?” I said. “We’ll talk about it later when you get home.” And the lines went dead.

The day dragged until my last class came. I was bothered by the phone conversation that my mom and I had in the morning. I hurried home and was confused at the scene that greeted me.

“Mom, what’s going on? Why are there many boxes and why are our things not here anymore?” I wasn’t even given the chance to have my mom reply when dad came from the stares and said “Shin Hye, I have been promoted from my job and with that, I have been assigned to another plant in another location.” What do you mean? How about my classes? I still have classes to attend to.”
