Hyunjin is scared. Scared of going anywhere but college and home, scared of people, scared of loud noises, scared of them. She knows they're still looking for her. That twisted, sadistic smile is still scarred in her memory, accompanied by an ever-present memory of screams and sirens and the smell of blood and glass crashing and that knife. In short, Hyunjin is scared. Scared for her life.

Heejin is new. New to Seoul, new to the college, new to her classes. She's also new to Hyunjin, the quiet girl in the back of her class that only talks to Haseul, the bright girl who seems to be friends with everyone. There's something about Hyunjin that makes her want to be friends with her, be it the mystery surrounding her or the fact she was stupidly pretty.

Nothing can ever go perfectly though, and it seems like blood and sirens is something Hyunjin will never escape.
