Jooheon could feel his stomach twisting as he followed Somi down the hall, he had decided for a moment that he had enough friends already, the mission to make friends was over and he should go back to the train station and head home so that Somi could enjoy her time with her other friends that she was clearly very close to.

"YOU !" Jooheon jumped, ready to put himself in front of Somi. Somi's grip on his hand kept him back and she blocked the pillow that flew towards her with her other arm without flinching.

"Hello Jongdae" Somi chimed and one of the males of average height dashed over to Somi, shoving her, only to grab her by the shoulders and shake her.

"Woah woah!" Jooheon exclaimed, but Somi squealed as Jongdae slapped one of her arms and glared at her.

"How dare you just leave us in the air like that for two months! I thought you were dead!" Jongdae pulled Somi into a hug before Jooheon could throw him off her for getting so physical. It was then that Jooheon realised that Jongdae's eyes were watering and he was just emotional to be seeing his friend again.

"Jooheon, come, I'll introduce you to the others" Kyungsoo waved Jooheon over and Jooheon gulped visibly, making Kyungsoo smile when he saw the action.

"Don't worry, Jongdae's just more emotional than the rest of us, come here" Kyungsoo waved him over again, and not wanting to have to be told a third time, Jooheon entered the living room, approaching as Kyungsoo had so kindly asked him to.

"Don't take their fidgeting personal, everyone's been waiting to give her an ear chewing, but they're eager to meet you too" Kyungsoo put a hand on Jooheon's shoulder and someone offered him a hand, making the same anxiety flood through him.

"I'm Junmyeon, nice to meet you Jooheon, we've heard a lot about you guys," Junmyeon's eyes flickered to Somi several times, still being hogged by Jongdae, "it's great to finally meet one of you" 

"Nice to meet you" Jooheon nodded, shaking Junmyeon's hand.

"That is obviously Jongdae, he's a bit emotional, I heard you've met Jongin already. Sorry about him by the way, he can be a bit brooding sometimes" Junmyeon squeezed Jooheon's hand before letting go.

"That," Kyungsoo pointed to the one that had answered the door, "is Sehun, you've seen him and Chanyeol already, this is Minseok"

"Hi Jooheon, nice to meet you" Minseok shook Jooheon's hand and used it to pull him into a brotherly hug that had Jooheon's eyes widening noticeably and Junmyeon laughed, clapping Minseok on the back.

"Stop up to him, you're scaring him" He chided and Minseok laughed as he stepped back.

"You could see what I was doing?"

"Yixing I've missed you!" Somi exclaimed, said male scurried over to her and snatched her up in a hug with a happy exclamation of the girl's name.

"That's Yixing as you heard," Kyungsoo informed Jooheon, "and yeah, that's all of us"

"Excuse me, I just happened to be waiting for my turn to greet Somi when I heard this preposterous discrimination-"

"How did you get out of the freezer?" Minseok scrunched his face up but he was ignored.

"-Am I not part of this group? Am I not your friend Kyungsoo? Do you just see me as some pest loitering in your apartment five days a week?"

"That's how everyone sees you Baekhyun" Junmyeon nodded and Jooheon watched, blinking uncomfortably as Baekhyun picked up a cushion to slam it in Junmyeon's face.

"," The male of average height cursed at Junmyeon as he climbed off the couch and stood in front of Jooheon offering his hand to him cooly.

"Jooheon, good to meet you my brother, the names Baekhyun"

"No one cares Baekhyun" Somi shoved Baekhyun away before Jooheon could shake his hand back. Baekhyun scrambled back and clung to her, wrapping his arm around her neck and rubbing his knuckles into her scalp. Somi cried out and pinched Baekhyun, making him jump away with a scream.

"Since you didn't die in the two months you were gone I might as well make that happen now!" Baekhyun quipped as he grabbed Somi again.

"Come and sit down, they'll be like that for a while" Kyungsoo pulled Jooheon to the couch. Jooheon kept his eyes on Somi even once her fight with Baekhyun was over, one that he could see she went easy with. Jooheon watched as Chanyeol slapped her, Somi slapped back and then they hugged as Chanyeol wiped his eyes over her shoulder.

"You're such a " He whimpered and Somi rubbed his back in an attempt to comfort him.

"You've been telling me that all my life" Somi nodded, her voice soothing to the ear. It took a while for everyone to believe they had properly greeted Somi, even once they had all sat down, falling into a small lapse of silence, it still felt like there was something missing after seeing each other in person after so long.

"Well, uhm..."

"This is nice and all, but is someone going to start with the explanations?" Minseok looked between Somi and Jooheon, Jooheon fidgeted and Minseok moved his stare onto Somi instead, raising an eyebrow.

"It's a bit of a long one" Somi bit down on her lip and Sehun crossed his arms, scrunching his face up at her.

"You come all the way here to tell us that?" He scoffed and Somi raised an eyebrow at him. Jooheon shuffled closer to Somi for comfort and she looked to him in confusion.

"Your friends are very honest" He whispered and Somi nodded.

"I was getting to that, thanks Sehun" Somi looked at Sehun pointedly and Sehun shrugged his shoulders in response, the look of discontent still on his face as he looked away from her.

"It's kind of awkward to say and it's weird to explain, that's why I was so scared when I spoke to you on the phone" Somi looked at Kyungsoo, who nodded at the memory she brought up.

"Speaking of the person that you called. I'm really offended that it wasn't me you know? I'm meant to be your best friend, I'm your favourite, I'm at the top of your list-"

"Are you really competing over who I called first?" Somi cut in and Chanyeol nodded adamantly.

"Yes I am, I don't lose, I hate losing-"

"You lost to me" Jooheon spoke up in a moment of bravery and Chanyeol stopped, eyes widening and mouth falling open as he turned to Jooheon slowly.

"Listen here buddy, I told you that I'm in position number one, I am the one in Somi's heart, I am the number one best friend of everyone in this room, the neighbours think I'm the greatest and my boss loves me-"

"Ok, Chanyeol we're not here to counsel you about your trauma." Junmyeon turned away from Chanyeol on the couch so that he was facing Somi and Jooheon.

"Could you explain why we haven't heard from you for so long now?" He asked kindly and Somi nodded, tapping Jooheon.

"Oh, right" Jooheon jumped, reaching into his pocket to pull out the usb.

"I thought rather than just telling you some wild story that you wouldn't want to believe, I would show you instead. Kyungsoo, can we use your TV?" Somi looked to her dearest friend and Kyungsoo nodded, wordlessly taking the usb from Somi so that he could set the TV up with it. He turned the TV on and plugged the usb in.

"There's a whole bunch of mp4 files on here. Am I meant to play one of them?" Kyungsoo turned back to look at her and Somi nodded, gripping Jooheon tightly when he put his arm through hers, leaning in close to her as he tried not to shake because of how scared he was.

"Play the first one" She instructed and Kyungsoo did as she was told. By the time the video was playing Jooheon was hugging her, whispering a small, 'this is scary' to Somi, to which Somi nodded in agreement, taking Jooheon's hand and holding it tightly.

The video started by a camera shaking and Kihyun cursing at someone, the blue sky filled the screen before the camera dropped back down and Somi appeared on screen with Minhyuk and Kihyun on either side of her. The three sat, staring at the camera for the longest time before Kihyun clapped his hands and leaned back, sitting down next to Somi and Minhyuk.

"There, it's recording now" He nodded and Somi took in a big breath.

"You haven't sat it very well" Minhyuk kneeled forward and shuffled the camera around and Kihyun slapped him as Somi watched the two anxiously.

"Nevermind that Minhyuk! We came here to help Somi not worry about your best angle you toss" Kihyun pulled him back as Somi on the TV took in a deep breath.

"Right," Somi started.

"So that's Minhyuk" Jongin nodded.

"Basically," Minhyuk cut in before Somi could bring out a long sad speel that talked about how scared she and the rest of them were to explain what was happening, "you've got a really good friend here that-" Minhyuk put his face in front of the camera "-wants to reveal a big secret to you so that you stop worrying about why she disappeared for two months and it's really scaring her" Minhyuk rattled off and Kihyun pulled him back again.

"Shut up Minhyuk"

"No he's right" Somi picked at the grass she was sitting on and then looked to the camera.

"I'm doing this to show all of you because it's not something that can just be explained with words. You're all probably going to be getting angry by now and you're going to call me, us, crazy for what I'm about to say, but it's better I say it before you see what I'm working up the courage to show you" Somi took a big breath in and Kihyun put a hand on her back.

"The reason I was gone for so long is because Blood Haven, Blue Haven as you all know it, isn't a normal school to attend. Blood Haven is a school for different species, for people that aren't human, and when I moved to this school, I had just found out that's what I wasn't, a human. I'm at Blood Haven because I am an element wielder and my parents sent me here to get me away from them while I learnt how to control my elements. My friends, Minhyuk and Kihyun here, and the others, are shapeshifters, all seven of them," Somi took in another deep breath and looked down, unable to bear looking at the camera, "god they're going to hate me so much for this" On screen Somi's eyes were watering and she could remember the lump that had been in when she was recording the video.

"You're doing great," Kihyun told her comfortingly and Somi let out a quiet laugh.
