Chapter 9

Hyunmi's POV.

"Hyunjin-ah."

We turn to look to see who it was and it was Jihee. I started panicking when we saw Jihee coming towards us and I thought getting nervous, "oh shoot! What should I do?!"

Jihee came closer and I looked at Hyunjin, then Hyunjin asked looking at me with a confused face, "do you know Jihee?"

"I-" I was about to answer, but Jihee already got to us and ask looking at me, "Hyunmi, you know Hyunjin?"

I hesitated and was about to say something, but Hyunjin answered for me as he was looking at Jihee with a straight face, "we just met; she missed her bus because of me, so I wanted to take her to her school."

"O-Oh," Jihee reply nodding as she was looking at Hyunjin and I looked at the 2 of them; I was feeling a little confused because the atmosphere felt different between the 2 of them is different. I asked pretending to be confused when I looked at Jihee, "so, this is the guy that you told me about?"

She nodded smiling as she was looking at me, then she saw my right hand that has a bandana and she asked with a confused face, "why is Hyunjin's bandana wrapped around your right hand?"

I was about to answer it, but Hyunjin beat me to it.

"She tripped and her right hand was bleeding, so I wrapped my bandana around her hand," Hyunjin answered looking at Jihee with no expression on his face. I thought looking at Hyunjin with a small smile, "at least Hyunjin is doing all the talking..."

"O-O-Oh, Hyunmi, you got hurt?" She asked with a worried face as she was trying to not get the hurt feeling off from Hyunjin. I nodded slowly looking at Jihee with a small smile, then I looked at Hyunjin. I reply with a smile, "thanks for helping me."

"No problem, I'll be leaving now," Hyunjin reply with a small smile when he was looking at me, then looked at Jihee with no smile. He started walking away leaving Jihee and I behind. Jihee followed after him and stopped Hyunjin by putting her hand around his arm; she asked smiling, "so, will we see each other later at practice?"

"I won't be there today," Hyunjin answered with a straight face and left Jihee hanging with a sad face. I got confused when I saw the scene and thought, "so, what did happen between them?"

"Hyunmi," Jihee reply with a sad smile as she got close to me. I looked at her and asked with a worried face, "did something happen between you and Hyunjin?"

"N-Nothing," she answered with a fake smile, "let's go before we are late to class."

I nodded slowly and we started walking inside the school. I notice Jihee was sad and I ask again with a worried face, "are you sure? You don't seem fine to me."

"It's a long story, I'll let you know later after class is over," Jihee answered with a small smile knowing I am worried about her. I nodded as we got inside our classroom.

RIIIINNNGG

"I haven't talked to you in a while about the bus boy," Jihee reply as she was zipping her backpack closed as we were getting ready to leave for the day. I stopped putting my things in my backpack when she said that and she asked with a concern face, "what's wrong? Did something happen?"

"N-Nothing," I answered as I was shaking my head and put on a small smile. I started putting my books in my backpack and zipped my backpack closed. I put my backpack on as she also did too. She asked again with a curious face, "so what happened?"

"I-I haven't seen him for a while," I lied and put on a small smile. I thought feeling bad, "I'm sorry, Jihee."

"Really? That is odd," she reply thinking while her index finger was tapping her lips, "why do you think he stopped coming?"

"I'm not sure," I answered as I shrugged and we both started walking out of class. I looked at Jihee and ask with a curious face, "so, what happen between you and Hyunjin?"

Jihee stopped her tracks and so did I. She looked at me with a sad face and answered, "I did something that hurt Hyunjin..."

"You know, you can always tell me anything," I reply with a small smile as I was looking at Jihee. Jihee sighed and looked around to make sure no one was gonna hear them. Jihee finally looked at me and reply with a sad face, "I sort of cheated on Hyunjin..."

"What do you mean you "sorted cheated on Hyunjin"?" I ask with a confused face. Jihee sighed again and answered, "there was this guy I met in dance class; he was so nice and sweet that I fell or him. It turns out that he used me and hurt my feelings. Before he used me, I told Hyunjin that I wanted things to be done and I hurt him so bad that I didn't get to talk to him until like 1 month ago."

I nodded slowly and thought, "so that's what happened between Jihee and Hyunjin. He must be very sad then."

Jihee looked at my right hand and asked, "do you want me to give that to Hyunjin?"

"Huh?" I asked with a confused face. She pointed at my right hand and asked, "do you want me to give his bandana to him?"

"S-sure," I answered not wanting to be suspicious. I tried to not show my sad face and thought, "I really wish I can keep his bandana..."

I untie the bandana that Hyunjin gave me and gave it to Jihee. She smiled and looked at the bandana. I reply looking at her, "you must really like him."

"I do..." she reply with a soft smile, "I do a lot."

I bit my lips and thought, "I really should keep the distance between Hyunjin and I since he probably still like her."

We started walking again to the school gate. When we got out of the school building, Jihee reply looking at me with a smile, "I'll give this to Hyunjin so that I can try to talk to him again and hopefully, he will forgive me."
