White walls and a white ceiling is what Irene woke up to. She looked around to see herself inside on of the hospital rooms; however, she was placed in a luxurious room (thanks to her family ofcourse) with a big TV and comfy chairs. But what was she doing here? She heard her stomach grumbling and now she wanted to eat, she's pretty sure hospital food doesn't taste that bad; she's been in a hospital for so long she got used to their food already.

"Oh, you're awake." A short and young looking woman came inside wearing white doctor's coat, obviously her doctor, who she is very familiar with. 

"Hello, Ms. Kim." Irene said as Ms. Kim stood beside her bed. Kim Taeyeon is her personal doctor since she was young. Her parents decided to let Irene have her own doctor to look after her health and thus hired Taeyeon. Taeyeon was still a medical student when she was taking care of a young Irene and was grateful for the opportunity (she was also payed graciously.) She was like an older sister to Irene, she watched her grow up, Irene talked to her when she had problems, and it hurt when she found out that Irene could no longer remember her.

"Just call me Taeyeon-unnie. Ms. Kim makes me sound old." 

"But you are old." Taeyeon lightly hits Irene's head bringing a smile to their faces. Even if Irene couldn't remember Taeyeon, she was one of the people who didn't treat her differently. So getting comfortable with her was easy.

"You've been asleep for 2 days. You were brought here after fainting from standing in the rain. What were you thinking? You know you're very weak and you dislike rain." Taeyeon said worrily, one of the main reasons why she was hired was because Irene was born sickly. She had a weak immune system so colds and fevers took a toll on her.

"I was caught up in my thought that I didn't notice what was happening around me." She said, she didn't like it when she made other worry.

"Well hopefully those thoughts are gone. You can leave the hospital soon, your is fever gone but you have to sleep early now. You dont have enough sleep, and you havw to eat more. Your health......" Taeyeon kept talking while Irene blanked out. She had recalled what happened, meeting Joy, finding her bestfriend.

And then she remembered something important, "Where's Seulgi?"

Taeyeon took a few seconds before answering, "Oh, you mean the girl that brought you here? We sent her away." She stated normally.

"What?! Why would you do that? She's my friend and she helped me."

"I'm sorry, I said that wrong. We asked her to go home."

"You still made her leave!" But Taeyeon dismissed the matter with a wave of her hand. She started cutting up the apple which she got from the basket on the table and gave it to Irene. "Eat. We'll give you your breakfast then you can leave."

Irene ate in silence, still angry at Taeyeon. So Taeyeon took it upon herself to talk. "Yerim is coming. She was worried about you but she had school, she's arriving today."

Hearing the name, Irene's doe eyes widened. "What? She's coming? I have to go home then!" Irene tried to get off the bed but Taeyeon pushed her back down.

​​​​​​"Why would you want to go home when she just came from there?"

​​​"No, I meant my 'home,' Velvet Suites. She can't see me like this, she's gonna worry like crazy and get angry at me."

"Too late though." This time Taeyeon did not stop the younger girl whe  she got off the bed, Irene found her clothes neatly folded on the chair and went to the bathroom to change. Once she finished she gathered her things and thanked Taeyeon by giving the doctor a hug.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of the discharge papers." And gave a final wave as she watched the retreating figure of Irene.

'Since when was Seoul home? Daegu was your home. When was Velvet Suites, a hotel/condo, considered to be her home now? She's only been there for less than a year.'

Seulgi was sitting on the couch as she watched Wendy watch some drama on the TV. Two days have passed and no call or massage from the hospital, it was starting to worry Seulgi (a lot). She already missed the shorter girl and couldn't help but feel guilty for leaving her alone after such a talk. So caught up in her thoughts she didn't notice that Wendy was poking her cheek with the remote control.

"Hey! It's Irene." Upon hearing the bunny's name, Seulgi's head shot up to look at the door only to find no one there.

"Are you seeing a ghost Wannie? You liar." Seulgi grumbled and just lay flat on the couch. Wendy didn't like seeing her bestfriend so gloomy, she herself is also sad and worried for Irene but you don't see her lying around.

"If you miss her so much, why don't you just visit her? I'll go with you if you want."

"FYI, I already tried visiting her but the staff kept saying I wasn't allowed to. And I don't miss her so much, I'm just worried."

"Pshh, yeah right. Is that why always text her phone and look at your photos of her because you don't miss her?" Wendy turned off the TV and went to the fridge, grabbing some cookies, and started getting her bag.

"Well, I'm just gonna take these and head out," she was waving the bad of cookies she just stole. "Text me if you hear anything about unnie." And with that she went out the door only to find the said unnie right outside. "UNNIE!!" 

Seulgi who was still lying face flat heard Wendy but didn't move her head, Wendy could be lying to her again. "That's not gonna work again, Wendy."

She felt a small tap.on her shoulder and she just had to look and she was so glad she did. There Irene was not sick and standing right in front of her.Seulgi immediately went off the couch, almost making Irene fall out of suprise, and hugged her.

"I was so worried and the hospital didn't tell me anything. I'm sorry I couldn't visit you. Are you ok?" Seulgi said without breaking the hug, she was happy knowing Irene was safe and ok in her arms, and Irene felt the same. Seulgi lifted Irene and spun her around, Irene giggled and replied, "I'm okay, super really."

"She didn't miss you though." Wendy suddenly said, Seulgi gave a glare at her anf Irene looked kinda sad. "I did not say that!" Seulgi put Irene down and finally let go of her and went to hit Wendy at her arm.

"I did miss you." Seulgi said with a smile which Irene gladly returned and they stood there for awhile like that.

Again Wendy decided to break the moment,  "You know, if I didn't know you two I would've thought that you were couple where one went to war and finally returned and got back home. And hugged the heck out of the wife." 

"Shut up, olaf!" Visible red cheeks were seen from the 'couple' and didn't help when Irene said, "I'm the wife." Irene and Wendy could only laugh at the red bear.

"As celebration for you gwtting better, let's go somewhere. I know let's go ice skating!" 

"Uhhhh Seul? I don't think it's a good idea for a person who got well to go ice skating." Wendy clearly wasn't agreeing. Wendy sent a tell-her-she's-being-stupid looke to Irene but all she received was a giggle. "I agree with Seulgi. I've rested already, going out won't be such a bad thing."

Wendy sighed with defeat, "I'd go with you but my grandma asked me to help her with the groceries. See ya!" 

After arriving at the skating rink with Seulgi, Irene started to feel scared. She doesn't know how to skate but she didn't want to ruin Seulgi's day by changing her mind.

"Can I just watch you skate while I sit down or something." Irene asked as they entered and saw all the people inside. How people can slide/skate around on a big block of ice amazes the doe-eyed girl. 

"C'mon it can't be that bad besides you have the best teacher to help you." Seulgi said smugly, and Irene raised a brow, "Really, who?" The monolid bear pointed at herself with a prideful grin and that made Irene even more scared to skate.

"No offense Seul, but you look like you can slip after the first step." But the bear was not offended because that was exactly what happened when she first tried skating luckily she got to learn after a few years.

"None taken. But I promise you that I am good and I won't let you fall. Trust me." She let out her hand for Irene to take and together they got their shoe sizes and stepped onto what seemes to Irene like hell. Ironic because it's cold.

"If you'd like we could use the polar bear to help you." And Irene nodded her head furiously, even with the bear Irene still asked Seulgi to hold her.Y

"You're never gonna learn like this." 

"I don't wanna learn because learning means no bear and I like the bear. Besides I wanna live and not fall thank you." Irene held tightly to bear's ears like her life depends on it.

"Even more than this bear?" Seulgi pouted which made Irene's heart jump a little. "Nope, you're my favorite bear."

Grinning with her answer, Seulgi took out her phone to video the raven-head. "Seulgi please don't. You're gonna end up using that against me someday." Irene started whining, it's already too much at skating in real life and seeing it, how much more catching it on tape. 

"Why not? You're so cute!" To tease the girl Seulgi went ahead of her and started skating backwards to video her ( Irene let out a scoff, "Show off"), Seulgi couldn't help but giggle out how Irene was struggling in skating.

"Here." Seulgi gave Irene her phone which Irene recieved with a confused look. "Delete it if you want but please take a video of me skating at least." Irene complied but she couldn't move from her spot, she can't skate how much more taking a video and skating?

Seulgi gave a peace sign before fastly skating away from Irene. Irene was left awed at how Seulgi moved around the rink so flawlessly and gracefully.  She stopped the video after a while and waited for the bear to return. Seulgi was smart, talented, hardworking, and could skate, she's amazing. Except for the part she doesn't make a good housewife.

Seulgi arrived back to where Irene was and gave a little bow. And let out her hand again, "Now, it is time." Irene didn't like where this was going, "Time for what?"

"For you how to skate, silly." And it was a regret to interlace her hand with Seulgi's because Seulgi's strong grip and pull took her away from the bear. And Irene couldn't help but scream.

"Shhh, it's okay I got you. If you keep panicking you're really gonna fall." As she held on Irene's hands as the latter was wobbling around.

"I wouldn't have panicked if you told me ahead." Irene tried to defend herself as she tried her best to calm her heartbeat down. "Nah! You'll still be panicking even if I told you." And Irene could sigh in defeat.

After a few minutes,  Irene was 'skating'. Technically she was being dragged by Seulgi, but nevertheless she counted it as skating. Irene made it to as far as to only being held by one hand but instead of Seulgi holding her, she was holding Seulgi. And Seulgi could feel pain from how tight her hold was.

"The key is to know you're gonna fall."

"That seems stupid." She said bluntly.

​​​​​​"You can't stop the inevitable,  you can and will fall sometime. That's why you get ready. And be confident too, don't be afraid to try."

Following the monolids' s words, Irene tried. She took small steps, her feet shaped as a V and shifting her weight as she moved. After a few minutes,  Seulgi let go. And Irene was skating by herself, Seulgi didn't forget to capture the moment, she took like 100 photos of Irene and a video with her reaction. 

Everything was going so well till a stupid biatch started to show off their skill and skated super quickly that they bumped Irene. Irene hates falling because she couldn't back up alone but this time someone was their to catch her.

In skating always fall on your . Sadly, Irene fell forward but she landed on someone. More specifically, Seulgi. Irene opened her doe eyes only to meet Seulgi's, and she realized she never seen such a beautiful shade of brown. Their faces were close that they could feel each other's hot breath, Seulgi had her arms around Irene's waist while Irene's hand were covering her face (she left space for her eyes to see, so she didn't cober all her face).

'Weird' they both thought, 'The ice rink didn't seem to be as cold as it was.'

Irene immediately tried to stand up which was a mistake as she fell right back down, Seulgi who was able to sit down before Irene fell caught her again. "Let me get up first." Seulgi gave a light chuckle while Irene only blush in embarrassment. Irene let out a small thank you before they exited the rink.

Both of their hearts racing not knowing whether it was because of skating around too much or for what happened earlier.

They ended up back in Velvet Suites but this time in Irene's room. They decided to have a sleep over, Seulgi and Irene laid side by side as they looked up at the ceiling. Seulgi didn't want to bother raven-head sk she opted for the couch but Irene disagreed and forced her to sleep with her. 

They enjoyed the silence and  together they drifted to sleep.

Seulgi woke up to the sounds of knocking, who the heck is here at this hour? Seulgi didn't want to wake up the girl next to her but it was hard to get out of bed when Irene was hugging her like she was a gigantic pillow. After she succeeded she went to the door where the knocks were only getting louder.

"Who are you and what do you want?" Seulgi said angrily, she did not want to be awake right now. She opened the door to meet a young girl with long, black hair. The shorter and younger girl gave off a glare seeing that the person who opened the door was not the person she was looking for.

"Who I am is none of your business. The question is who are you? 

"I'm Seulgi, Irene's friend. Again, who are you?" Seulgi blocked the door with her body so that the newcomer could not go inside.

"I'm Yeri, Irene's girlfriend." She stated.

GIRLFRIEND?!?!?!?!

.

"You're lying, Joohyun doesn't have a girlfriend. Who ar-" Seulgi wasn't able to finish as Yeri barged through the door (pushing Seulgi) and hugged Irene who just came out of her room.

"JOOHYUN-UNNIE!" Yeri exclaimed as she hugged Joohyun with a huge hug. Irene who was filled with shock recovered quickly and returned the hug.

"Irene, uhhhh, who is she?" Seulgi questioned as she got back to her feet. Irene gave a wide smile as she replied, "She's Yerim, my younger sister."

"Ohhhh.........WHAT?!"
