solace
Description
all he had to do was bring the girl, and wipe away his debt. a personal involvement wasn't on his agenda.
[bioshock!au]
Foreword
"well, i'm here to get you out of here." he said curtly.
it took a moment for her to process what he said, and her eyes widened. "what, really? i mean, for real?" she dashed forward, her face etched with an expression of disbelief. "but- but why?"
"out of the goodness of my heart," the young man replied, his tone sarcastic. yet the girl didn't seem to care - the thoughts of the escapade seemed to excite her to a level beyond his imagination. he couldn't understand her - there was nothing to be excited about the cruel world she had been shielded from. her naïve joy was alien to him, but well, at least it would make her more cooperative.

a/n: hi this is a tribute to my undying love for the bioshock franchise esp bioshock infinite (which this is shamelessly inspired by)
bc i love steampunk and fantasy and yoonseul in it is jusT???? jdkjsasakl their r/s dynamic is inspired by booker & elizabeth but then again, it won't quite be the same cx
storyline will include major plot elements and locations of the bioshock universe (ofc it's a tribute) however the main plotline will sometimes diverge in different and various ways & elaborate on themes that weren't explored that much in bio. infinite lmao
although you'll see steampunk tech being mentioned & used often throughout the story, knowledge of it is not crucial in order to understand the plot - after all, the storyline is what i'm planning to focus on, not the tech itself !!
quote above is from bioshock 1 (although not completely word for word)
note - although i'm generally familiar with the steampunk aesthetic, there could be errors as i'm not an expert on it!! please feel free to correct me if i've made mistakes c:technically steampunk is more of an aesthetic but i just put it in the genre tag
