This takes place in a world where love is all but a myth, and one's spouse is designated through the intricate analysis of one's DNA; the 'divinely accurate' matchmaking technology, a system with seemingly no flaws. 

One's spouse is chosen by the system and the results released on the applicant's 18th birthday.
