The cool, crisp air was refreshing. I took a deep breath trying to clear my mind. Life had been a little crazy the past few days. I had the stress of dealing with the fact that nothing was as it seemed. My best friends had a big secret they were hiding from me. I was capable of things I had never even dreamed about. To add to that, I had the joy of being in Jun's company 24/7.
Don't get me wrong. Jun wasn't a bad guy and I didn't hate him. Actually, we got along quite well when we were in a good mood or we were serious about something. But I didn't choose to spend so much time with him and being forced to be around him so much was tiring. I mean, we’d only spent approximately two days together but it was enough for me to need a break.
I was broken out of my thoughts when a flash of light caught my eye. It was the same flash of light I saw two days ago when Jun and I saw the corpse. I narrowed my eyes at the place I last saw the flash and waited. A few moments later, another burst of light followed. To my surprise, it looked like the lights were coming closer.
They flashed a few more times before they started to take a distinct shape. To my absolute amazement, I watched as a small swarm of about six butterflies flew towards me. They shined a bright white with a small hint of purple. With a start, I realized their wings glowed; the flashes of light I saw before were them flapping their wings.
They flew towards me gracefully. I found myself entranced by their colors as they danced around me. I giggled slightly as one of them made a swirl in the air. They were beautiful and charming.
