Kim Jong Hyun, being easily the youngest biggest CEO in South Korea, owning billions of dollars in his asset. And the most sought-after bachelor in the world. Not only was he good looking, but he is good at making money as well. The only flaw he has, was that, he was as cold as ice. Working alongside with his 2 best friend. Kwak Aron and Hwang Min Hyun. With similar goal and hard work, they got themselves here, where they are now. But unlike his 2 best friend, he doesn’t get the whole hybrid hype that was in trend.

It was as if that any one wealthy must own a hybrid to prove that they have the power and ability to have one. And one thing that he hates was that the wealthy would exploited them, beat them and even sold them to slavery. Practically treating an individual as if they were dirt and pets. He knows that his’s best friend were not that kind of people. They treat their hybrid with upmost care and even rescue them from slavery. Treating them like a friend. He had met them and their hybrid even like him a lot. Especially Aron’s hybrid, name Ren. A mini lop rabbit hybrid, with grey fluffy ears hanging from the top of his head. He has taken a fond of Jong Hyun. While Min Hyun’s hybrid, name Baek Ho. A white tiger hybrid, which is often misunderstood as fierce and cold. Little did they know he was as soft as a marshmallow. Heck, even Ren was scarier then him. Don’t let looks fool you.

Even though he hates it, the company has been invited to an auction again this year. Dreading to go, because he knows it would be nothing but boring pieces being auction. And people there was just buying and practically showing off how much hey could afford for trash. Dress in his suit waiting for his friends to come. And just in time the door bell rang. Opening it up, he was practically falling back from Ren piling on him. Clinging on him as if his life depends on it. Chuckling, he ruffled his hair, while the rabbit hybrid finally lets him go. And in comes his best friends and the white tiger hybrid. Leaving with only Aron to the auction, because Min Hyun decided to stay in at Jong Hyun’s house to take care of the hybrids.

Sitting in the venue, the auction was about to end.

‘Lastly, our last item that we would be auctioning will be something no one has ever seen here. We have a rare female black panther hybrid with us today that we would be actioning. We would not bring her out here, only the person with the highest bid would get to take her away. Biding starts from $20,000.’

As the last auction item was announced, everyone in the place suddenly seem more interested. Bid was going on furiously. And everyone was trying to get their hands on the rare hybrid.

Aron: I got a bad feeling about this. This doesn’t sound right. It seems abit shady and off. Should we bid?

Jong Hyun: But if we bid who’s gonna be the one taking care of the hybrid?

Aron: You of course.

Jong Hyun: Me??

Aron: You’re the only one without a hybrid. You’re doing a good deed as well, buying a hybrid. Who knows what the hybrid has been through and will if they are in the wrong hands of these wealthy people here. That only cares about their reputation and image. Plus, I think it would be a good idea to add another member to our family.

Jong Hyun: Fine. $1,000,000!

It was then the whole auction place, quiet down. All eyes on Jong Hyun who has just bid an insane amount.

‘$1,000,000 calling once, twice, sold. To Mr Kim’

//Both of the guys walked back stage to claim what they had bid. It was dark, and the air seems still//

Aron: I feel like this is a scam.

*THUMP!*

Aron: ! Did you hear that??

//Walking towards where the sound was coming from. They got a shocked looking at what was infront of them. You dress in a torn t shirt and shorts, sitting in the back of a cage. Both of your legs were up your stomach, with your arms hugging your leg. Bruise visible on various parts of your body. Black tail curled around your stomach as your ears were down. Shivering due to the cold air of the place//

Aron: What?!! How could they put up a beaten-up hybrid for auction in this type of place?

//Just then the guy auctioning all the stuff came from behind them. Smirking at the you, making you curl up more. Unlocking the cage, going in pulling you off the ground, dragging you out to meet the two guys. Tighten his grip on you and fling you down infront of them. Making you hiss due to the impact, as tears started forming//

‘She’s all yours.’

//Something in Jong Hyun heated up and went up to the guy, throwing a punch on him. Standing infront of you protectively//

Jong Hyun: That’s not how you treat a lady. Get out!

//Knowing his place, the guy immediately ran out from the back stage. Jong Hyun and Aron squat down infront of the you wanting to communicate with you. But it only made you filch back, staring at both of them in fear. As tears stream down your face//

Aron: What are we going to do? She looks too scared.

Jong Hyun: Hey… It’s alright. We won’t hurt you. It’s okay. Just breath alright. Take your time //Holding his hand out, looking at you//

Aron: What’s your name?

A Ra: A Ra… //Looking at Jong Hyun’s hands. Hesitating and thinking if you should take it//

Aron: My name is Aron and he’s Jong Hyun. Don’t worry. We’re not going to hurt you. We’re just here to bring you home.

A Ra: Home???

Aron: Yes home.

//Looking at Aron, you look back at Jong Hyun’s hand. Reaching out for it slowly. Placing your hand in his. While he held your hand gently, getting up with you. Letting go of your hand to place his outwear on your shoulder. Leading you out of the back stage. Walking out of the building, it was then you are met with a familiar eye. Making you froze in place, tightening the grip on you hand. Starting to breath harder. Getting the attention of Jong Hyun who has a hold on your hand. Looking at you, then finding what you’re looking at. He saw you’re staring at the same guy who was auctioning you, staring back at you. Looking at the state you’re in, it broke his heart. Not knowing how someone could treat you the way you’re treated. Something in him made him feel like he had to protect you. Moving infront of your sight to block your glaze, away from the guy. You look up to him, as he places both his hands on your shoulder, looking at you with soft glaze//

Jong Hyun: Hey…. It’s alright. Nothing is going to happen to you anymore. I won’t let anyone hurt you anymore okay? Trust me. I’m here. I’ll protect you.

//Looking up at him, you give him a small smile and a nod. Which made his heart skipped a beat. Pulling you closer to him, with his arms on your shoulder, he leads you out of the building in to his car. Seating in the back seat with you, while Aron sat at the front seat with his driver. Dozing off through the journey back, you lead in to him. Head nuzzled on his neck, while your tail circled around his leg. Making him smile at you, looking at you with so much love//

Aron: She seems to be taking a liking of you already.

Jong Hyun: I hope so. I like her too.

//You felt a hand caressing your hair, making you stir in your sleep. Bringing you out of your sleeping state. Lifting yourself up from his shoulder, he interlaces both of your hands in his. Bring you out of the car, while you rub your eyes, trying to get out of your tired state. It was only until you’re standing infront of his door. You froze, staring at his door in fear. Making the 2 guys look at you confuse. It was then something in Jong Hyun click. Putting both hands on your shoulder, getting your attention.

Jong Hyun: You can smell them don’t you.

//Slightly nodding at him//

Jong Hyun: Don’t worry, they won’t hurt you. They’re our friends. I promise nothing is going to happen alright.

//Looking at you. You nod. Interlacing your hand with his again, he proceeds to open his house door. Getting inside with you side by side. You look pass him, looking at he 2 hybrid and one guy in his house. All of them froze looking at you. Until Ren and Beak Ho came forward to you. Looking at you with sad eyes, as if they were going to cry. You felt the hand interlaces with your give you a little squeeze. As Ren came and pull you into his embrace, looking sadly at Jong Hyun//

Ren: Hyung… Is she okay? Who did this to her?

//Hugging you closer to him, while nuzzling on your neck trying to make you feel better. Melting in to his embrace, you hugged him back. And felt Beak Ho bring both of you in to his arms, from behind you. Nuzzling on the other side of your neck//

Baek Ho: It’s okay. We will protect you.

//Finding comfort from both of them, making the guys standing around smile at the sight of 3 of you. Breaking apart 3 of you, Jong Hyun brought you in to his room, giving you a T shirt that is clearly too big for you and shorts for you to change in. Showing you the bathroom, you’re left alone in his room. Taking a hot shower, as the water hits down on your skin, for once, you felt safe. You finally felt at ease, as if nothing could hurt you anymore. You’re finally safe. Getting out of the shower, you got out of the room. Looking at everyone shuffling infront of the tv. With blankets and popcorns on the couch//

Ren: A Ra!!! Come here!

//Standing up, he walked over to you, holding your hand. And leading you to the rest of the guys. Siting on the couch. But you stood there, not sitting. Making everyone look at you//

Ren: Sit down!!!

A Ra: But I’m not allowed on the couch….. Or allowed to be near my owner stuff or them unless they need something…. Or…. only when… they are angry…

//Making everyone look at you in shocked. Until Jong Hyun pulled you to him. Making you sit sideways on his lap. Caging you in his arms protectively//

Jong Hyun: I don’t know what you have been through in the past but from what I can see since the first time I saw you just now. I might have guessed what you have been through. Just remember that, none of that awful things that happen to you would happen now. If you’re uncomfortable with something or do not want to do something. Just let us know. We wouldn’t like it if you’re force to do thing you don’t want to, or uncomfortable about. Plus, you’re our friend now, just like Ren and Beak Ho. We treat everyone equal here. And you live with me now. Everything that is mine, it’s your as well. You get it? You can do whatever you want here. Nobody is going to stop you, just be yourself.

Ren: Ya. We get it, me and Baek Ho had been in your shoes as well. But since Aron and Min Hyun took us in. We’re nothing but happy. They treat us very well. And they pamper us so much. Jong Hyun is really a very sweet guy. You’re going to like him a lot. There is nothing to worry about. You’re safe now.

Baek Ho: We will protect you!! //Earning a chuckled from all the guys. While Min Hyun Rubbed the back of his ears. Earning a purr from him//

Min Hyun: You’re our family now. Just remember that we have nothing but love for you.

Aron: We’re not rushing you to open up to us. But we just want you to know that we won’t ever hurt you like you had experience before. It’s okay to take your own pace to open up. No one is rushing you. We just want you to feel comfortable here.

//Listening to all of them talk, makes you smile and nod at them//

Aron: Good let’s start the movie then. Everyone on the couch!!

//Pulling Ren up to his own lap. So that Min Hyun and Baek Ho had a space to sit on the couch. The couch was squeeze, since all of you sat on a couch meant for only 3 persons. But it was none the less warm. Starting to finally know what the meaning of family is, in the first time of your life. Melting in to Jong Hyun embrace, you nuzzle your head in between his neck. Finding a comfortable spot, making him chuckled at your action. Holding you closer to him, while he rests his head on to yours. Little did you know, you had just melt the ice-cold Kim Jong Hyun’s heart that everyone knew him knows him for.

Movie ended and all of them decided to crash at Jong Hyun’s place instead of going home. Claiming that it was too far away, they are too tired to drive, and he has enough spare rooms for the to use. Hence, occupying both his guest room, after saying goodnight to both of you. He brought you to his room taking a pillow with him, getting out of the room. Claiming that he couldn’t let a lady sleep on the couch. And if you needed anything he would be just outside. Exiting the room swiftly afterwards. Leaving you in the room alone, lying on the biggest and most comfortable bed you ever slept in, in your entire life. Shifting on the bed for at least a good few hours, finally falling asleep. But only to have nightmares hut you in your sleep, making you jot up in bed with tears streaming down your eyes.

As if knowing you’re having a nightmare, Jong Hyun opens the door suddenly. Getting to your side, sitting down on the bed. While you apologise for waking him up. Which only made him ask you to stop apologising. And join you on the bed. Pulling you close to him as you snuggle up on his chest. Tail curling around his thigh//

Jong Hyun: You’re safe now. I’m here. I won’t let anything happen to you. Go to sleep kitten. I’m here.

//Kissing your forehead and ruffling/patting your hair to ease you. You lean in to his touch and fell in to a deep sleep//

It’s exactly a month since you live with Jong Hyun now. And you’re more comfortable with him and the boys. Getting more affectionate day by day and the boys are glad that you’re slowly opening yourself up. After the nightmare incident, Jong Hyun wanted to sleep in the guest room the next night. Claiming that you should take the master bedroom. But you shyly instead that you would sleep better with him by your side. Making him chuckled at your cuteness and agree to it. Sleeping beside him made you safe and loved. Slowly all these feelings, turning in to butterflies sin your stomach. And racing heartbeat you try hard to control around him. Because knowing your place, he was still your owner after all. And you could not have any other feelings for him. At least not love.

When he left for work, he would either bring you to Min Hyun’s or Aron’s house. Or they would come to his. To leave 3 of you together to play. Since, they had to go to work. You enjoy your time with your 2 other hybrid friends. Practically watching movie, drama or playing video games with them to pass time. And when the boys get back, all of you would ran up to them, pouncing on them. Telling them how much you guys miss them. Well, practically you’re shy. Hence, running up towards the boys and stopping infront of them, waiting for Jong Hyun to bring you to his embrace instead. And him tell you he misses you first before you would say it back. Nothing felt so right, and you love your life right now. Knowing nothing would ever happen to you anymore. Little did you know.

Just another typical, but Jong Hyun instead to bring you out. Because he was caught up with a lot of work and he didn’t spend much time with you. And you always trap in the house. Hence, he wanted to bring you out for some fresh air and do some grocery shopping. Since the fridge was mostly empty as well. Both of you when to the nearby market to get your items. Walking hand in hand, both of you pick out the grocery needed. And he asked you to go to the sweets aisle to get whatever you want. You happy skipped your way to the aisle and try to pick the sweets that you want.

But suddenly, you felt a hand wrapping around your throat. Blocking your airway, as you gasped for air. Tears streaming down your face and you’re drag out of the back door of the store in to a van. Before you passed out you swear you saw a panicked Jong Hyun ran out of the back door of the store. And hearing an all too familiar voice saying, ‘Welcome back kitten’.

This is all too familiar for you, you knew things was going too well. And it always turns out this way. You getting auction and bought by a person, but getting back here again eventually. He never stops, he always finds you and get you back. Keeping you until he had all his fun beating you up, then auction you again. Until he wants you again. And your owners have never try to find you. Because, they could just simply buy another hybrid.

*Jong Hyun’s POV*

//After seeing you getting drag out of the store. He immediately called Aron for help//

Jong Hyun: ARON!!! The guy from the auction. He took A Ra back!!!

Aron: What do you mean he took A Ra back?

Jong Hyun: We were at the mart and A Ra was choosing sweets and I wasn’t with her. And when I was about to find her, I saw her being drag by the guy at the auction through the back door of the store and in to his van. Aron!!! It’s my fault. I told her that I would protect her. But… Aron…..

//Tears stream down his face as he remembers the countless amount of time that he had told you, you’re safe with him and nothing would happen anymore. Blaming himself that he didn’t fulfil that//

Aron: Dude. Calm down. I’ll search him up. We will find him. You know we have the connection. Don’t worry about it. Give me 20 minutes max, I’ll find his information. Drive to the office to pick me up. We’ll meet there with Min Hyun. Calm down. I need you to be in your right state mind again. So, we can get her back. It’s not your fault alright, I’ll meet you at the office.

//Arriving at the office, both Min Hyun and Aron got in to his car//

Aron: I found him. Park Jin Soo. Age 30. Only son. Parents passed away when he was little. Grew up in an orphanage. Running an underground illegal bar, that sells and deal with drugs. Guess what. He rans the biggest illegal trading and smuggling of hybrids. Known to be cunning, kidnapping his hybrid back after he auction it. Just to auction it all over again. All his hybrids are brutally beaten and tortured.

Min Hyun: Found it!! South, 10 km from here. An abandon warehouse where he keeps all his hybrids at. Let’s just hopes A Ra is there. Step on it.

Aron: He messed with the wrong guys. Min Hyun, get back up. We might need it. You might not know how cunning this guy is.

Min Hyun: On it!

//Speeding through the road. Jong Hyun has only one thing in mind. And it was to get you back//

Lying on the cold hard floor at you’re so familiar to, you give up on any hope that anyone would ever find you. It’s not like that had the reason to, but you really wished this time it was different. Especially with Jong Hyun, the only one who treats you nice. The only one that has ever only given you all this attention and affection. But you didn’t want to get your hopes up. Jotting out of your thoughts when you stared at the man that had turn your life upside down, since your birth. Strip you away from your parents, tortured you every minute he got. Treat you as trash, or in fact, treat all hybrids as trash. That was what you grew up with. You give up questioning your life a long time ago. And just live with it, it’s not like you ever had a chance to live. Wasn’t until Jong Hyun took you in. Showing you what a home was, what family was, showing you that you have the rights to do whatever you want. But he had to come along and put you back in place.

Jin Soo: Hey kitten. I missed you. You passed out for quite long. 3 hours to be accurate.

//Walking towards you, he caressed your cheeks. Making you glare at him//

Jin Soo: Still as feisty as ever. I missed it. I almost thought I couldn’t get you back. But look where are we now? You’re always my favourite. Oh, and I hated your new owner by the way. That punch hurts a lot. Who does he thing he is.

//Curling his fist up to a ball. You knew what was coming. You’re all too familiar with it. Closing your eyes waiting for the impact to hit you. But it never came. Well, before it could ever land on you, the siren around the building rang. Blasting through the system//

Jin Soo: !!!! WHAT IS HAPPENING?

//Getting up from you he panicked. Nothing like this has ever happens. Or not since you’re here. Looking at him getting out of the place. Gun shot was heard all over the place. Without any rest. As the siren finally came to a stop, the gun sound also did. Panicking you didn’t actually know what was going on. But you knew nothing good was happening. You could actually move or get out to see. Since you’re all tied up.

But what shocked you was the sight you’re seeing. Jong Hyun, running in the place. Looking for something, looking at you. Running up to you, untying you. You couldn’t believe it was really happen. That he had came back for you. That he had keep his promise. Tears build up in your eyes, because of joy. But what shocked you even more was him placing his lips to yours. Clutching you in his embrace, as if he was scared of losing you. Getting both of you in a heated kiss. Rush, hard, furious that leaves both of you gasping for air after wards. You did know what he meant by it. But you didn’t care. All you did care was him coming back to get you. And you’re grateful for it. You couldn’t have been happier. Getting up, he helps you up on your feet//

Jong Hyun: Let’s go through the back door. It’s not a pretty scene out the front.

//You didn’t care and understand what he meant by that either. But at least you knew that, if you’re with him. He wouldn’t let anything happen to you. Getting in to his car, he drives both of you back in to the apartment. Setting up the bath for you. While you took a long relaxing shower after that. And when you got out, he was here on his bed waiting for you to join him. You got on to the other side of the bed. Plopping yourself on the comfortable mattress on you. While he did the same, lying down next to you. Both of you looking at each other//

Jong Hyun: Did he hurt you?

//Caressing your cheeks with a worried expression pinning on his face//

A Ra: Almost did. But no.

//Smiling at him. While he sighs in relief//

Jong Hyun: I’m sorry. I said I would protect you but---

//Looking at you sadly//

A Ra: And you did silly. And I’m glad. I thought you would never find me. You had no reason to anyway. I’m really happy you did. You shouldn’t have.

//Looking at you with a frown, he cupped you face//

Jong Hyun: You’re important to me alright. Didn’t I say we’re family. And I did say I would protect you and you’re safe with me. I wouldn’t let anything happen to you. I couldn’t.

//Smiling at him grateful. Trying to stop your heart from beating so fast//

A Ra: Thank you.

Jong Hyun: Hey… I almost thought I lost you today….

A Ra: Me too… I thought I wouldn’t see you anymore….

Jong Hyun: Hey... you know I wouldn’t let that happen. I wouldn’t and couldn’t just let you go.

A Ra: Thank you.

Jong Hyun: Hey come on. Smile for me. I like it better when you’re smiling.

//Reaching out for you, trying to make you smile. But it didn’t work. Hence, he tickles you making you burst out laughing and trying to get out of his grip. Stops only when you’re begged for him to for the 100^th time. Making both burst out laughing. Looking at each other in the eyes tenderly. And you did something you deemed stupid. You didn’t know where you got the courage from. Maybe it’s the atmosphere, maybe it’s the situation you had just been through. God knows where. But you blurted out something you never though you would//

A Ra: I love you…

//You froze there, finally realising what you said. You panicked. You knew you messed up. Getting up from the bed you tried to escape. You didn’t know what you’re escaping from. His respond? Your heartbreak? You didn’t know. But you did. Getting off the bed, you wanted to run away, you didn’t know where, but you want to. But even before you got the chance to leave the bed. You’re pulled back by Jong Hyun. Caging you with his arms, preventing you from escaping. He place his lips on your again. But this time, it was soft, sweet and tender. As if he was scared to hurt you.  Breaking the kiss after awhile. He places another kiss on your forehead tenderly. Looking at you with soft glaze//

Jong Hyun: I love you too kitten. Please don’t leave me again.

It was then you nuzzled in to his neck and melt in to his touch. Knowing nothing could ever hurt you when he was there by your side. And everything was going to be alright from now on.
