Ren: I love you.

A Ra: What?!

//You looked at your best friend with dumb founded eyes. Not thinking you heard what he said clearly//

Ren: I love you

//It couldn’t be. Can it? The person, your best friend, just confessed to you. Someone you secretly have a crush on big time is confessing to you//

A Ra: Ren….. I….Lo-

Ren: AHhhhh! This is nerve wracking. Do you think she would accept me?

A Ra: Huh?

Ren: Soo Yeon! I’m going to confess to her!! Do you think she would accept me?

//Hearing your heart broke in to pieces. Those words felt like knifes. While tears were forming in your eyes. But you tried to keep your cool. Smiling back at that idiot you love so much//

A Ra: She will. Ren she will.

//He smiled ever so widely to you//

Ren: Really? You really think so?

//Giving him a bitter forced smile. But he was too excited to even notice your change of expression and attitude//

A Ra: She will Ren. You’re a great guy.

//Smiling brightly at you. He wraps you in his arms. Placing a kiss on your forehead//

Ren: Thank You A Ra! I know I can count on you. I love you my best friend.

//”Best friend” the only 2 words which you didn’t want to hear now. With those words you felt your heart breaking apart as if it was not already broken. Wishing his smile was for you instead of her. Forcing yourself to speak//

A Ra: I.. Love you too Ren…

//Little did he knew you were confessing to him//

*1 week later*

Ren: Do you really have to go?

A Ra: I want this Ren.

Ren: Why so sudden?

//You decided to leave Seoul. Leaving him and leaving your feelings for him behind, here. You intended not to tell him and just disappeared from his life forever. But you couldn’t do that to him. You didn’t know why. That’s why you are here with your luggage standing infront of his house. Telling him your decision. A decision that you thought a lot about. A decision that was hard to make. It breaks your heart trying to break the news to him. You were suffering internally//

A Ra: I’m sorry to drop this to you suddenly.

//You see him sight. Taking a deep breath in. Tears were forming in his eyes as well. But you thought it was because he will miss your company, that’s all//

Ren: So… this is it? This is the last time I’m going to see you?

A Ra: I guess so.

//His voice broke and you could hear the hurt from his voice. He pulled you in to his embrace. Hugging you tightly to him. Nuzzling his head further into your neck. Not wanting to let you go. While you his back gently, trying to calm him down//

A Ra: Ren….  Please…. Don’t make this even harder than it already is.

//Not caring what you just said. He tightens his grip around your body. While taking a deep breath, taking in your scent//

Ren: I don’t want you to go…..

//You swore your heart broke hearing that from him. (I don’t want to go too Ren. I don’t want to leave you. But I need to. I can’t stay by you. I love you Ren. I fell in love with you. And I can’t just be your friend anymore. It hurts me Ren. To see you love someone. And eventually have someone else in your arms that you love. That’s why I choose to leave. I don’t want to see any of that. I can’t) You were crying for help in your head. While tears came rushing down to your face. You remove his hands from you. Closing your eyes as you said words that broke your heart in to millions of pieces//

A Ra: Ren.. Please.. Don’t. I need to go.

//He brought his hands up to your face. Wiping your tears away. Placing a firm kiss on your forehead and cheek. Letting go after that. Looking at you with a smile on his face. But you knew him. He was forcing that smile, you could see the hurt from his eyes//

Ren: I love you A Ra.

A Ra: I love you too Ren….

//Turning away from his door. You took the lift down from his apartment. You were gone. But he was still standing outside his door looking at the lift that just brought you down. Little did you know all this time, he was actually in love with you. The first time he told you that he loves you, he was just trying to see your reaction. You were shocked, that’s why he had to make up an excuse saying that he was going to confess to someone else. But this time, when he said that he loves you. He was hoping you would notice that he was really in love with you. But you didn’t. None of you did. None of you notice that both of you were actually in love with each other//

Ren: If only you knew. That I love you for all this time. That I only need you. Stupid girl. Why did you have to leave me?

//His heart broke, saying those words. He felt his chest tightens as every breath he took hurts. He was suffocating. Suffocating without you here. Breaking down. He fell to the ground. Bringing his leg up to his chest hugging it. While sobbing away his heartache//

*2 month later*

//You decided it was time to go back to Seoul. You cut off all contact with Ren for the past 2 months when you were here. And you felt like you have forgotten about him. Or so you thought. You were ready to face him. And accept the fact that your best friend might be already dating someone else. You had been preparing your heart for the worst this past 2 months. You didn’t tell Ren that you were actually going to come back to Seoul after you got your feelings for him sorted. He thought you were never coming back. Because you didn’t know how long it would take you to get this heartache away. Standing infront of his door, it was nerve wreaking. You didn’t know it was so hard for you to tell him that you were back. You ball you hand in to a first, knuckle turning white as you lift it up knocking on his door.

It took him awhile to open his door, but you knew why. He was most likely sleeping in like he always was. Since it’s a Saturday and he doesn’t have to work. As the door open, you finally see the person you wanted to see most infront of you. Your heart skips a beat looking at him with his messy bed hair. Rubbing his eyes, still not knowing who was right infront of him. It was then you knew, all the 2 months you had spent forgetting about his idiot here was gone to waste. Rubbing his eyes, he lifts his head up looking at the figure infront of him. Staring at you, but he didn’t seem to process in his mind that who was infront of him. As his eyes widen, the smile on your face widen as well. Knowing he finally realised you’re infront of him. But without any warning. He pulled you to him, trapping you in his embrace before capturing your lips to his. Sweet and soft.

It took you by surprise and even before you could react, he broke the kiss. Tightening his grip around you, he nuzzles his head to your neck taking your scent in. The scent he missed the most and have been missing for the past 2 months. Closing his eyes, he rested his head there, not intending to let go of you. Not again. Sighting in relief, he finally spoke//

Ren: God! I missed you so much!

A Ra: Ehmm…. Ren???

Ren: I miss you.

//He confessed. And it made your heart skips a beat. Heat was rushing to your face, but you were trying to keep your cool. Trying not to blush but your felt your heartbeat racing. You blame yourself in the head for that. Because of how easily he made the past 2 moths of effort go to waste. But you ain’t going to denial this feels anymore//

A Ra: I miss you to Ren

Ren: Are you…. Here for good?

A Ra: I don’t know.

//Upon hearing that he broke the hug looking at you. Frowning with a hint of sadness in his eyes//

Ren: Why????

A Ra: Why…… Because you so effortlessly made the effort that I have made for 2 whole months go to waste in just 2 second.

Ren: What do you mean?

A Ra: Ren…… I don’t think we should see each other anymore.

//Widen his eyes in shock. He grabs both of your hands to his tightly. Not letting you go. Eyes as if pleading you and looking in to yours. Trying to find what was wrong//

Ren: Why?? What’s wrong? What did I do?

//Tears was coming out of his eyes, as he choked on those words. It hurts your heart seeing him in this state//

A Ra: It’s not you, Ren. It’s me.

Ren: I don’t get it? Why? Why can’t you just stay? What’s wrong?

A Ra: Ren. Stop it.

Ren: No! You stop. Stop leaving me here all alone. I don’t even get why did you even leave in the first place. Wasn’t here good enough for you? Wasn’t I good enough for you? Why did you have to leave everything behind? Leave me behind.

A Ra: Ren. Stop it! You don’t get it!

Ren: YES! I DON’T. I DON’T UNDERSTAND ALL OF THIS. YOU LEFT ME HERE NOT TELLING ME WHY YOU DID. AND NOW YOU CAME BACK SHOWING ME YOUR FACE AGAIN, JUST TO TELL ME YOU MIGHT NOT STAY THIS TIME AS WELL?

A Ra: Ren….. Stop….. Please

Ren: NO. I’M NOT GOING TO STOP UNTIL YOU TELL ME WHAT’S WRONG! TELL ME A RA! WHAT IS WRONG?

//You were trying to keep your cool. But you couldn't take it anymore. Not when Ren was shouting at you. That's why you snap//

A Ra: WHAT IS WRONG? EVERYTHING IS WRONG REN! EVERYTHING! HOW YOU ARE MY BEST FRIEND. BUT I FELL FOR YOU. I TREID REN. I TRIED FORGETTING YOU. THAT’S WHY I LEFT. I LEFT EVEN WHEN MY HEART ACHE SO MUCH. I LEFT EVEN THOUGH I WANT AND NEED YOU BY MY SIDE. I LEFT BECAUSE YOU FELL IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE ELSE. AND I CAN’T BARE TO SEE THAT WITH MY OWN EYES. THAT’S WHY I LEFT REN. I LEFT TO SORT MY FEELINGS I HAVE FOR YOU. AND WHEN I FINALLY THOUGHT I HAVE THE COURAGE TO FACE YOU AGAIN. I DIDN’T. I LIED. I LIED TO MYSELF. I LIED TO MYSELF FOR THE WHOLE 2 MONTHS THAT I COULD FORGET YOU. THAT I AM NOT IN LOVE YOU WITH YOU ANYMORE. I EVEN PERPARED MYSELF FOR THE WORST-CASE SCENARIO WHEN I CAME BACK. I WAS PERPARED TO SEE THE ONE THAT I LOVE TO BE IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE ELSE. BUT GUESS WHAT. IT WAS ALL DESTROYED WHEN I SAW YOUR FACE AGAIN. I COULDN’T. THAT’S WHY. THAT’S WHY I CAN’T STAY REN. NOT WHEN I STILL HAVE FEELINGS FOR YOU. NOT WHEN I’M IN LOVE YOU WITH. SO PLEASE. STOP IT REN. STOP.

Ren: You’re stupid.

A Ra: What?

Ren: Stupid girl!

//Those 2 words was the only words you heard before he captured your lips to his again. Giving you a heated kiss. Pulling you close to him, with no space in between both of you. Your eyes widen in surprise again, as you tried pushing yourself off of him. But you couldn’t, his grip on you was too tight. After struggling, you gave up. You gave up trying to deny the feelings you have for him. You replied to his kiss. Not caring why, he did that in the first place. Because all you ever wanted was him. Was to be with him, near him. Both of you were holding on to each other as if your life depends on it. Breaking out of the kiss to gasp for air. Leaning his forehead to yours while panting. Both of you tried to get your breath back. After you did, both of you locked your eyes with each other//

Ren: I love you A Ra.

A Ra: Ren…..  don’t

Ren: A Ra. I love you. I have always loved you. I tried confessing to you, but I was scared of how you would react. That’s why I lied that I was going to confess to Soo Yeon. I didn’t dare to hear your answer. And I never though that you saw me more than a best friend. That’s why I never told you before. A Ra. Please don’t leave me again. I can’t bare to be apart from you anymore.

//Hugging you close to him. He nuzzled his head in the crook of your neck. While you whisper word that both of you wanted all along//

A Ra: I love you too. A lot. I’m not leaving anymore. I’m not leaving you Ren. I can’t. You’re such an idiot for not telling me that you like me.

Ren: And you’re dumb for leaving me here alone.

//Making both of you chuckled. He place a kiss on your shoulder lovingly//

A Ra: I love you.

Ren: I love you too A Ra. Never leave me again, alright?

A Ra: Never.
