Linking Hearts
Description
If there was one thing Irene was unfamiliar with, it was the term “romantic love”. After the death of her boyfriend five years ago, the 27-year old went through a deep abyss of lamentation and ended up as a non-believer of fate and love. That is after a drunk night of unfortunate events, Irene ended up wishing in a shooting star for a plot twist in her life. What her wish brought her? Well, it was no other than Seulgi who was the top matchmaker of Cupid, the God of Love.
Foreword
“WHY DID YOU TAKE HIM AWAY FROM ME!!!” I screamed out loud in frustration, my drunk mind in total haze as waves of sadness hit me. I was still lonely after all.
“HE WAS THE ONLY THING I HAVE!!! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE ME MISERABLE LIKE THIS? WHYYYYY?!”
I didn’t mind screaming my heart out. No, I don’t mind anything. I was still broken and forlorn after all these years.
“He was the only thing I loved… why do you have to take him away from me…?”
The tears were endless, and so was my aching heart. My sobs died down, comforting me for a little bit at least. And when I looked up the night sky that I always adored, a shooting star passed by.
I closed my eyes and clasped my hands together. Even with the alcohol in my system, I was able to mumble a clear wish.
“Show me a twist in my story. Please… make me believe in love once again.”
[A/N] Just a short story, or rather short-chaptered short story since the idea won’t get out of my mind. Lols.
