Description
Ten years ago after her mother left, Wendy’s father sat down his two children in the kitchen table and explained to them that their mother wasn’t going to come back. Eight year old Wendy had asked her father how she could choose a man over her own kids.
“Love makes you selfish. It gnaws away at your heart until you want nothing left except to have your love received and reciprocated. Even if it means hurting those around you.” He'd said.
Her father was wrong, love doesn’t make you selfish, even the most selfish people knew how to love. Instead it turned the best people into liars, cheaters... love makes you evil.

Johnny’s sentence trails off, she gazes into his eyes and can see he doesn’t want to finish it. Doesn’t want to say it out loud. But Wendy doesn’t need him to finish in order to know what he was going to say.
