A couple of days before Christmas, Joy decided that she wanted to put her tree up after all. She wasn't exactly eager for the holidays,but she figured that the act of decorating the tree would be a welcome distraction from the fact that she was now completely alone in the world. She had lost her parents in a tragic car accident a month ago, and having no siblings nor close relatives,she found herself alone in that big house.

As she looked around the attic, she found a black box she had never seen before. In it there were nine beautiful Christmas balls with weird symbols and names itched on their surface. She had no idea what the names meant, but she found the balls beautiful so she decided to display them on the tree. 

But what would happen when those balls uncover secrets her parents had kept from her for nineteen years?

Will she help the nine strangers who appeared suddenly in her living room?

Or will the secrets they reveal prove too much for Joy to handle?
