The smell of old books lingers in her nose, this is the smell that she always love. Nayoung was busy scanning the old English literature books in the library when she heard a male voice from the other side of the shelf.

"What happens when everything falls?" he asked. Nayoung didn't respond because the person from the other side might be reading a phrase from a book or something. She don't want to be embarrassed of assuming that she was the one being asked, so she pretend that she didn't hear anything and continuously scanning the book.

"What happens when everything falls?" he repeated again as if waiting for her response. She glanced on the space between the books and saw a pair of brown eyes looking at her.

"Are you asking me?" She was still unsure if she should respond or not.

"Who else am I talking to? It's only you and me...here...at this place and at this time" It may sound scary but with his sweet toned male voice the way he said it sounds romantic and sweet. As if she heard his voice before. 

"well, uhhm..." Nayoung was thinking of what to answer, "Everything that falls, break. They get shattered and broken into pieces. Like a glass, when it falls it is broken into pieces and will never be back to its original self again." she replied sounding smart trying to impress the man behind the shelf.

The guy laughed a little. She stared and follow those brown eyes gazing at the books in front of them as if scanning each and every title of the books in that shelf. She heard footsteps and followed the direction of those eyes to where they were heading. 

"Nope" He answered as if he knew something.

"Mm?" 

"Everything that falls are just falling. You'll never know if they are broken or being catched unless you reached the end part of the process." he sounded like a person in love.

They had reached the end part of the shelf and only a step needed for them to see eachother's faces.

Both of them took a step and finally they see eachother's faces. She was speechless and filled with awe. It is her guy best friend Wonwoo. He was holding her favorite book, Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet while holding a fresh red rose.

"Like my love for you. I'll never know if I'll be broken or being catched in the end. I have been your best friend for the past 20 years and here I am standing infront of you asking you...Will you be my girlfriend?" Wonwoo asked nervously. He is nervous because he is afraid of being rejected. He is afraid of losing his best friend. It took a great courage and risk of confessing his feelings to her.

There was a short awkward silence between them. He was waiting for her response. Nayoung stared at his brown adorable eyes. She smiled at him and nodded. Wonwoo  is very happy then he smothered her. All his worries and fears were gone. All the years of waiting for her to like him were all worth it.

He caressed her cheeks.

"I thought I would lose you. I was afraid that you would reject me." Wonwoo placed his forehead on her forehead. Their lips were inches closer. They could feel eachother's breath.

"Why would I reject you? I am also afraid of losing my one and only best friend. You are always by my side." Nayoung giggled a little.

"I am nothing without you Nayoung" he told her sweetly.

"I am nothing without you too, Wonwoo" she replied.

Inch by inch their lips were moving closer.They kissed eachother like they were in a fairy tale. And like every fairy tales, it always ends with a happy ending...
