“Come in.” Kris sounded exhausted and when Hoseok entered the office he saw that the kid looked it too. “Hyung…I mean President Jung what are you doing here?”
“I wanted to check how your first day was going.” Hoseok entered the office, “I see you have already started to redecorate.”
“I wanted a new start.” Kris watched as the intimidating man sat down on one of the couches. “Can I offer you anything to drink?”
“I’m fine. Come sit with me. There’s something I want to ask you.”
Kris approached and sat on the couch opposite. “What is it?”
“Why did you fire Ahn Jiwon?”
Wow straight to the point. This hyung was seriously scary. “I already have an HM that I trust and who I owe a position to.”
Hoseok nodded slowly, “I can understand that but these matters are delicate. There’s a fine balance that you need to maintain.”
“Hyung no disrespect but that is true of your Estate and the other three Estates in this Consortium. The Woo Estate is barely holding on and that is only thanks to my grandfather returning to the company after my father was sent away.”
“You make a point but if you rock the boat it may just capsize.”
“Now is the best time for me to make these changes.”
“Kid listen to me and I also mean no disrespect. I am here to guide you. I want you to succeed. You need to have a game plan and I think you need to complete your studies. This is your final year and then there is university.”
“So what happens to my company while I’m doing all of that?” Kris only thought of the Madame and what she would do if he left her in control.
“Normally in situations like this, the Vice President and the HM will manage the company with input from you when needed. You will still be in control and present for AGMs and such.”
“I suppose that is also good for keeping investors happy.”
