What Must Be Done
Golden Quill - The Legacy (GQ2)The room was dim, with hardly any light. As Kris entered he felt dark and weighed down. This was so much more different from the Lee home. He couldn’t help but compare it to the Woo Estate. It was darker here, no laughter and no family. It was plainly evident that the Woo Estate was damaged and broken. Kris was kept waiting for more than 30 minutes in a lounge. There was bottle of water, wine, fresh juices and an assortment of eats and snacks for him, but he did not feel like eating. He had just come from the lunch at Jongin’s house and he was still full.
“You may see the Chairman.” The Woo estate House Master appeared before him, he seemed older than his 45 years. He had circles under his eyes, his skin looked grey to Kris, he was thin, not capable of properly fulfilling his duties. The whole Woo Estate seemed to be inferior. It made him upset, that something needed to change, that he was here to do that.
When Kris entered the room of the Chairman, he instantly in his breath, the room was too warm and he instantly started to sweat. In the heat of summer, this room was too hot. He knew then that the Chairman was definitely not well.
“Come closer,” a voice said. Kris stepped closer until he saw the old man resting on the sleeper couch. He was wrapped in more than one blanket and there was a steaming cup of tea resting on the side table. “Who are you?”
Kris looked at the House Master and then sat beside the lounger, “Chairman,” he bowed
