Chaeyoung and Mina were best friends since kindergarten. In second grade Mina had to move with her parents to Japan, because her Dad was transferred to the Japanese headquarters of the company he was working for.
From this day on Chaeyoung kept something missing in her life. Mina told her she would write her letters, she never did. Mina told her she would visit her, she never did. Her best friend lied to her and didn’t keep her promise. Like Chaeyoung didn’t meant anything to her, ever.
One year after Mina left, Chaeyoungs mother met a new man and soon after they married. After some time Chaeyoung got along well with her stepdad and her stepbrother Jackson. The four went on to become a loving family and since Chaeyoung never met her real dad, her life was now finally complete. With the exception that she didn´t had a best friend anymore.
The days, weeks, months and years have passed by and Chaeyoung lived her life, the average life of a teenage girl. But throughout all the years she didn’t managed to open up to someone like she used to Mina. She couldn’t trust someone as much as she trusted Mina because she didn’t want to be hurt like before.
Then, on the first day at YMP University, everything changed, when Chaeyoung ran into a girl.
