Coming back from a jog, you walked into your room and took a look at your worst nightmare. Your body froze.  Sitting in the middle of the floor was a box.

            You approached the box carefully, as if it could kill you. There was a letter.

            “I found this box in the basement. I thought you might want it. –Mom.” 

            There was a reason why you left it there: to hide it.

            You opened it cautiously. A part of you was telling you not to, but you couldn’t help yourself.

            Hundreds of old pictures of you. You picked up a picture: the nerdy thick-framed glasses, the braces, and the short black hair. It made you cringe.

            You crumpled the picture in your palms, your tight grip made your hand shake. You threw the crumpled picture aside and kicked the box to the corner by your drawer.

            You fought the tears that were threatening to fall out as they continued to pile up at the brim of your eyes, but you couldn’t fight it any longer. You sat down and hugged your knees while your bed supported your back and just cried. 

            “I never loved you.” He laughed.

            “But you said-”

            “How could you possibly think that I would love you?”

            Those words that cut you like a knife. How could he have said them so easily? 

I'm sorry that my chapters are really short. I don't know why they are. I guess I just feel like it's a good stopping point. :P 
I'll try to make the chapters a bit longer
