I Hear the Crow Birds Sing
Description
The theory of the multiverse is one that is quite fascinating. It holds that there is an infinite number of universes: all with independent histories, varying laws of physics, different timelines. But most importantly they are all existing simultaneously, without anybody being aware. This could mean that in every single one of these universes there was someone searching for love, discovering love, falling out of love, losing love, protecting love. But why love? Because in one of these loves, in one of these universes, you found me and I found you.
Nine multiverses make an incomplete set, yet it is in these nine that they tell a complete story.
Foreword
A conception dream is one that foresees the coming of a newborn child. It slips quietly, peacefully, into the mind of the mother-to-be, weaving its wisps of truth into her cloud of dreams. Within this unusually vivid dream, the woman sees a black box squatted in the center of a white room. There are no windows or doors, but everything is bright, blindingly so. Lifting the lid of the box, she finds a derby hat. Carefully, she sets the lid down and proceeds to pick up the item. The material is made of felt, and one that is the deepest shade of black she has ever seen, as if it didn't belong to this world, this world of color. Interestingly enough, she hasn't seen a smudge of color even once in this dream. Looking down at her arms, her body, she finds that she has none.
Unperturbed, she places the hat atop her head and proceeds to look back into the box, wondering what else it has in store. Two marbles are encased in the black box, circling around one another. One, a dazzling, glossy sphere of reds, yellows, blues; the other, a murky blue and gray polished to perfection. She reaches down and rubs the barely visible swelling of her belly, releasing a content sigh. Retrieving the lid, the woman shuts the box and grabs a hold of it. Whether it grew or shrank, it is now of a comfortable size where it settles well in between her hands. And then she shakes the box violently.
And just like that, two worlds are born.
First installment of the multiverse series.

Hey hey hey. It's Optimus here. Happy late birthday to Chan the man. I'll be casually updating this series as oneshots, so make sure you hit that follow stories button wherever it is lmao.
Also, this is the longest oneshot I've ever written (8k) so I'll be breaking it up into 2 parts.
