Jiyeon was in vacation. It was her second day when she decided to let the sea water wash her skin. She was wearing a tank top with shorts as she played around alone in the empty sea. There was no one and that was only because she chose this time of the year when exams would start so that she could have quiet time. She was naturally shy though she would prefer to be social butterfly but not everything goes how she wants. She couldn’t help but to tighten her expression around strangers or anyone she is not close with and that made people believe she was arrogant. Yep, people were quick to judge.

When sun was already setting did she decide to go back. After all she wasn’t familiar with the place so it’s better to stay safe than sorry.

When her clothes were dry enough she started her way to the hotel not far to sleep the night.

The next morning she wore a light blue shirt with black loose pants. Her hair flying in the air as she took her sandwich to eat while watching the sea waves ing forward and then pulling away aggressively because of the strong winds. It was peaceful like yesterday.

 

“May I ask who's the beauty that decided to come here and enjoy her beautiful morning with a view like this.”

Jiyeon blushed hearing the compliment from a total stranger. She slowly turned around to see the man only for her eyes to land on a handsome tall man who’s upper body was exposed. He was wearing dark blue shorts with sneakers.

Jiyeon couldn’t help but to shyly smile and only waved at him.

The man smiled at her shy attitude. He walked closer to her in a safe distance and offered another one of his charming smile.

“It's really rare to see people come here at this time of the year. I’m quite surprised to find someone other than life guards.” He chuckled at the thought of them in rather boring days.

Jiyeon giggled to acknowledge- that he wasn’t ignored.

The guy looked around a bit before eyeing her again ended up chuckling at her awkward gazes.

“Do I make you feel uncomfortable or something?” the tall man asked, his smile friendly giving her these fluffy butterflies inside her tummy.

“No it's okay.” She said looking up with innocence filling her eyes– not that she was trying to be cute or something. It just came naturally.

The guy lost himself in her long and sparkling orbs for a moment as he stared and stared. Only when she giggled in embarrassment did he take his eyes off from her turning to look at the sea.

“Are you saying its okay for me to make you uncomfortable or-”

Instantly Jiyeon shake her hands while also trying to hide her laugh from the beautiful stranger as she corrected him. “No no– I'm not like this. It's fine. I'm fine.” she whispered last words as her cheeks were heating up.

The guy’s left eyebrow rose up as he balanced his weight on his left leg and the other leg lingering around Jiyeon’s straight ones. Crossing his arms around his exposed chest in a manner that showed his biceps rippling with muscles he lowered his body down and smirked teasingly. “How sweet it is when your words convey something; then your body utters another. Do I look like your high school delusional play boys for you to say something you don't mean.”

Jiyeon blushed beet red when he leaned closer to her eyeing her intensely, a strange sparkle in his eyes. “Or,” He whispered. “Maybe you’re uncomfortable but you still want to talk to me. Is that it? You want to chat with me?”

Jiyeon didn't answer speechless with how he was… so flirty and a sweet one at that. They were mere strangers yet this guy was acting like they were in some kind of relationship or maybe he made her feel that way.

Creating a noise from his throat he leaned away nodding at her. “Fine, i take that you're… special. You want me yet you don't have the courage. I'll take the lead and if you feel like its wrong what I'm doing then say so… or just walk away.”

Jiyeon didn't want to admit but this guy was great at reading her. It has always been hard for her to take the lead so this handsome guy reading her like an open book was… heart-warming.

“So now that we are somehow okay let's do something fun. Like how about surfing? I'm really good at it!” He said excitedly and Jiyeon could see it in his eyes.

“But I don't know how to do that. Is it… not scary?” She asked. She saw how amazingly talented people do that but that was still a dangerous sport you know.

Snorting at her fearful expression he boldly took her hand and start dragging her to the side of trees. She was supposed to question him. She was supposed to not follow a stranger so easily but she didn't find it in her power to pull away from his grip.

“Don't worry we are going to my cabin to get my board.” He assured tightening his grip on her to pull her along faster.

Jiyeon laughed whole heartily when Sehun’s face was smacked by the waves.

“Yah you! Come here and see how it feels! Trust me, no matter how embarrassing you're going to be it'll worth it at the end of the day so just it up and be wild!” He yelled from the sea where his lower middle was submerged in water.

Jiyeon looked around and decided to follow his lead. After all who could resist Sehun when he sounded so energized and sincerely happy.

“Okay but you've to look after me! I'll die otherwise!” She yelled back running to him as he waited for her.

Once she got closer to him, his long arms pulled her from her waist and her back collide against his wet flesh. “I got you. Just have fun.” He said gently.

Jiyeon didn't want it to turn awkward so she ignored the way his chest was touching her shoulders.

“You said you'll surf so go do it.” She said gently prying herself away from him.

Grinning at her Sehun show her board that was floating in the water. “I said that. But– you'll ride it with me and I'm accepting no objection on the matter miss so don't try these fluttering innocent eyes on me.”

Jiyeon let him do that. It was usually so hard for her to talk to someone; she never really talked with boys unless they came to her. But Sehun was not anyone; he made her warm up to him. His excitement gives her inspiration and courage. He kept making her comfortable around him and now she felt like she knows him for years. So she didn't waste the chance to be closer to him without feeling like a creep.

Sehun instructed her and after few times of failure she manages to get on it with her arms firmly around his torso. Another few times of failing before she could stand still while he ride on the waves coolly.

She felt happy and by the time they were coming back to rest she was clinging on him without even realizing and Sehun was no better. He had his arms around her shoulders and he was being a little too touchy but neither focused. They just felt happy being around the other.

“We could make some fire and burn marshmallows and–”

“Hey you know it's not allowed to make a fire here! I remember I tried when I first came here and then had to hide from the cops for three days so they leave me alone.” He pushes her to the side jokingly.

Jiyeon smack his chest laughing at him cutely. “Why did you do that if it was illegal? You could have used some brain.”

“Yah!” He faked a scream of pain rubbing the area where she smacked him. It actually hurt a bit if he were to be honest.

Giggling at his reaction she peeked around unconsciously getting closer to his side letting their bodies to brush and eventually Sehun wrapped his arm around her waist. It felt so natural to them.

It's been five days and she was constantly spending her day with Sehun and only went back to her hotel room to sleep so when today she came she was… unpleased to see a bunch of teenagers playing in the water volleyball.

And when Sehun came with frown– she knows he wasn't pleased too. Maybe being all alone here made them feel like it was their place but knowing the sea was for everyone they both decided to not bring up what was in their heart and acted as if they were happy. Though it wasn't hard to see Jiyeon being a little quiet with these strangers around.

“Don't mind them. They are having fun on their own.” Sehun said to her, his fingers playing with sand drawing random patterns.

“This is getting boring.” Jiyeon said eyeing the players. “Should we join them?” She suggested. She had this feelings that Sehun could surround himself with strangers easily though yet he preferred to mostly stay on his own.

Sehun gazed at them then at her. “Will you be okay with that? You're not talkative around strangers.” he pointed out carefully to not offend her.

Jiyeon leaned closer to his slouched body. “You're with me right?” then she grinned only for her eyes to look even cuter and then Sehun pinched her nose.

“Let's get going then!” He exclaimed getting up and held his hand out to Jiyeon.

“Hey we wanna play, can we join too?” Sehun loudly asked walking towards them. His fingers clasped with Jiyeon’s as she walked behind him.

The boy looked like in his early twenties waved at them. “Of course! The more the merrier!”

Jiyeon didn't join as she stares at them playing from the sides. She wasn't good at it so she told Sehun to play while she cheers on him.

Her heart swelled in pride when Sehun had easily made friends with those guys by just being there. But one thing she noticed was– Sehun always make sure to stay away from girls. And it's not the first time here. He had made sure to not interact with girls more than necessary. It made her smile a bit at the thought.
