Chapter 1: I love how very "moment in time" this entire story feels, how it feels like we're momentary voyeurs into this relationship between Myungsoo and Sungjong. You use your words well so that very few words are needed for us to feel like we understand this relationship; that little bit where Myungsoo watches Sungjong change is great in how if helps elude to this past between them that we are not privy to but can imagine. It's kind of weird, kind of intimate, yet at the same time so specific (Myung soo wanting to stick his tongue into sungjong's navel) that it makes it feel all so real, tangible.

And I commend you with how you handle Sungjong. How we're never really told what his damage, is and he never tells myungsoo. whether he really was thinking of jumping or not, it doesn't matter because we fully believe that the unconditional love that Myungsoo offers him is what he desperately needs.

I also really love the attention to sound, or lack thereof. The story is actually very quiet despite the locations and settings you put it in. We're told about Myungsooas father's anger, but we never "hear" him shout, the mention only coming up in a memory at the start. Even at the party, there is passing mention of laughter of high schoolers spilling into the lawn, but otherwise no mention of the blaring of music or chatter or anything. In fact the only time noise seems to enter into the scape is when myungsoo or sungjong speak and I think it's very effective in emphasizing this feeling that myungsoo feels, a bubble with just them two.
