Description

Earth has become a chessboard, and two warring planets stood on opposite sides. It’s a deadly game and Ruka is just a pawn of Sorbia. The mission was to kill the Taria King by all means. But the question is... who is the King?

Foreword

The bus was in chaos, but that's to be expected when you cram a dozen of hyper and excited high school athletes in limited space.  They weren't seated on their proper seats - some of them not sitting at all. There was food everywhere. And the noise - oh god, the noise. It was a miracle the driver and their coach haven't gone crazy yet.

"Yah, Kim Jongin!" One shouted as someone snatched his phone from his fingers.

"Whoa, Sehun, you're watching ?" The person named Kim Jongin said loudly, halting the ruckus around him.

There were a few scandalized "What?" that came from the others.

"Our Sehun-ah is growing up!" A tall student with big ears cheered, slapping the one on his right and ending up being smacked.

"Is this really the right time and place for you to watch such things, Oh Sehun?" A taller one glared at the poor Sehun.

With a bit too much aggressiveness, Sehun managed to snatch his phone back. Kim Jongin was left sprawled on the bus floor, laughing and whining in pain at the same time.

"I was playing a game." Sehun grumbled, focusing again on the screen where a bright ‘Game Over’ could be seen.

The student sitting beside him patted his head. "It's normal for boys your age to watch . Though you should really think of when and where y-"

"Luhan hyung!" Sehun complained. "You’re right beside me the whole time!"

Another round of scandalized "What?" came.

"TMI, dude, TMI." A boy with heavy eyeliner muttered.

"You watch with Luhan by your side?" Another player with fat cheeks questioned. "That's disgusting, maknae."

"I wasn't watching !" Sehun shouted.

Then there was a loud thud from the top of the bus, making all of them flinch and look up. An odd dent could be seen, as if something big and heavy fell on the bus. Their bus rolled to a stop.

"Stay here." Their coach instructed. "I'm going to check it."

But never have they followed sports-unrelated instructions from their coach. Why start now? They rushed after the man, running to the other side of the bus.

"Is that-?" A player with big eyes started to ask nervously.

His question was cut off by the coach shouting, "Call an ambulance! Hurry!"

The guy with really white skin pulled out his cell phone in an instant, speed dialing the emergency hotline. The others followed the coach who was hurrying to the body that was lying a few feet from their bus.

"Oh god, it's a girl."

"Where the did she fell from?"

"What the hell? Is that an armor she's wearing?"

The coach wasted no time, immediately checking the girl's pulse and breathing. He brushed away her very long black hair that was covering her face and gawked at what he saw.

"Ssaem, why do you look like that?" The one with sharp cheeks questioned.

"Chanyeol ears," the coach squeaked as he backed away from the girl.

"What?" Some of the boys went to check what was freaking their coach.

"Oh my god, am I in Lord of the Rings?"

Disclaimer: I don’t own anyone in EXO and anything else that SMEnt claim as theirs. This is just a fantasy fan fiction which I based on them, so their personalities in this could be far from reality. This, as in the story and the worlds, is just a work of my imagination that I intend to be used for entertainment. If there are any scenes similar to real life situations — I pray that there’s none — then that is just a coincidence. Enjoy!

Hi! Though I just came back from hiatus, which lasted for years, I really wanted to write this fic. This is a bit different from my other story because it's a bit lighter and less serious than Arcanum. Hope you enjoy it!

Chapter 5: Yay an update! This is really well written; the plot line is super intriguing, good character development and fantastic chapter titles make this one of my favourites. Keep it up, and good luck on your med school exam ~~
