“I was told I would find you here.” Jinyoung says with a smile.

“Do you need something?” London asks.

“Not in particular…” Jinyoung says, “And who is this?”

“Jaebum, Im Jaebum.” He says, coming forward and extending a hand, “Thank you for your help with the Queen’s river situation.”

“Oh yes, Jaebum, London’s friend, I am Jinyoung, London’s -”

“Friend.” London jumps in quickly, adding an awkward smile knowing that she probably jumped the guns

Jaebum nods not quite trusting his words, still thinking about how Jinyoung seemed to emphasize that Jaebum was London’s friend.

“So what are the two of you planning?” Jinyoung asks.

“Uh we are just about to head to Jaebum’s place to make dinner.” London smiles.

“Mind if I join?” Jinyoung smiled with an earnest smile.

Both Jaebum and London were stunned, not expecting this change in plans. London hesitated, she had always thought of Jaebum’s a place where the two of them could just be themselves; it was ‘their place.”

“I would love to see London cook.” Jinyoung added.

Jaebum didn’t doubt that, even though he had no reason to disagree, he couldn’t bring himself to agree either, the reason being simple.

“How about we go to my house instead?” London suggests, seeing it as the best alternative to this situation. But she wasn’t so sure she made the right choice when she saw an emotion she couldn’t quite put a finger on flicker in Jaebum’s eyes as he stiffened to her suggestion. It was like a mix of sadness and anger but it was neither.

Oblivious this interaction, Jinyoung smiled, “I have a better idea! Why don’t we go to my study? It’s private and it has a reasonably stocked kitchen.”

“Sure.” Jaebum says after a long silence. It took quite a while for him to fully grasp hold of his thoughts. Why had London changed location when Jinyoung wanted to tag along? Was his place not good enough? He pushed those stupid thoughts out of his mind; he knows that there is a logical reason. Jaebum laughed at himself internally, he would have never thought that he was one of those people who would have an inferiority complex as he is usually quite confident in himself if he was honest with himself.
