Extended Summary:

Set in a world where humanity has been forced back into heavily walled cities by vicious creatures called the avaritia. Conjured by the evil sorceress', hated and executed by the Royals, with an insatiable thirst for human blood, they have corraled the human people into small cities protected only by tall unbreakable walls. And the wall walkers, the only human defense against the avaritia, these soldiers spend their lives on the wall protecting their people from their worst fear.

Wall walking is the only thing that Victoria Lee has ever known, she grew up running along the wall with her father, and as one of the only females in the Royals command, she is one of the best at her job. However, she struggles to hide a deep growing power in herself as it surfaces and she finds it harder and harder to keep a secret. Her sorceress blood. With the blood of the hated running through her veins, she lives in constant fear of being found out but she knows that her power is the reason that she's so well engineered for the job.

He didn't ask to be king but after the sudden death of his father Kim Seokjin was coronated and sat down on the throne before he could say anything. Barely twenty-four he faces opposition from everyone around, even a cynical eye from his courts, but now more than ever he must prove to his people that he is fit for the job. With the growing threat of the avaritia and the threat of dethroning from his father's formers advisor, he needs someone at his side that he can trust.

They meet on the battlefield, on the other side of the wall, and he makes quick work of the lies and masks she puts up to hide her secrets. They clash, as soldiers and diplomats do, but they share one commonality. Their people. He knows her blood, but Seokjin offers her a smile and something more. The position right next to his. His wife. His queen. His sorceress. And with his knowledge of her secrets, she has little choice to do anything else. Tasked with the mission of protecting Seokjin against his enemies and helping him draw up battle plans against the avaritia using her knowledge of magic under the guise of the queen, Victoria must learn to adapt into an environment that she has avoided for all her life. She hates him but must rely on him to save her people rather than lose the throne to a tyrant. She walked the wall between life and death for her people all her life and whether she like it or not, she walked now with a man who would not allow her to do it alone.
