PROLOGUE 

“I’m late”

She knew if she should’ve gotten up before the 5th alarm that morning she would’ve been okay, but gods forbids she needed that extra 10 minutes that had then turned into thirty and now had her dumb (she thought otherwise) running through the streets, hair flowing frantically against the wind and her legs begging for mercy with every step further she takes.

“I hate myself”. She mutters, impatiently catching her breath at the traffic lights before mentally preparing herself to run yet again. Miraculously, she thanked her parents for giving her decently long legs when she finds herself with five minutes to spare, huffing in front of the gate. Gathering all the breath of sweet air she had lost in the process of a chaotic morning, she finds herself naturally fixing the hems of her skirt and straightening out the grey blazer. She whips her head around, scouting the area before taking a few steps towards a car parked on the side street, cars tinted so dark it was exactly what she needed to salvage at least half of the decent human being she was before the panic kicked in. She ran her fingers through her light bangs a few times and combined through her straight, brown hair fell past her chest. She frowned looking at the reflection for a bit and moves in closer to check whatever left of light makeup that had survived after the sweaty run. 

“You look pretty as it is.”

The window rolls down abruptly that causes Eunseo to stumble back in shock, letting out a soft gasps with her hands covering to avoid the gasps turning into a full blown mating call.

“Oh my god” She couldn’t believe it. Eunseo could not believe what was happening.

Her eyes doubled, cheeks flushed red and she felt her ears burning while she froze staring back at the (hot) stranger that had caught her being a narcissistic idiot when all she wanted to do was fix herself to have a decent chance of not scaring away potential friends on her first day. His eyes curled into two moon crescents and he flashed a charming smile as if proud of his rather cheeky remark. The tips of his ash brown framed his eyes that glimmered in the sun, clear skin and broad shoulders. 

This is ridiculous, Eunseo thinks. the guy is literally sparkling while she was just a hot mess and while in her head she focused on the hot portion, everyone knew she was a just the latter. A mess.

“School starts in 2 minutes” He chuckles deeply. “I’ll see you around…” He bids, still smiling while using two fingers saluting her as he gets out of the car, locking it behind him before entering the gates. 

3 minutes. It took 3 damn minutes and she swore that this has got to be a new record in making a complete fool of herself.

She took a deep breath in and patted her cheeks a couple of time, hoping she was also knocking the flustered red colour right out. The bell chimed and she faces the front of the gates of where she was going to spend the last few year of her senior life in. The brunette was elastic.

“Great work Eunseo.”

Oh so, very elastic.
