Long ago before animals and humans exist in this world, the Earth was gifted with only two seasons; the summer season and the other is winter. It is said that the summer season was controlled by the God of Summer named Daehyun while the winter season was controlled by the God of Winter named Youngjae

One day, the Earth voiced out its plea for the God of Summer and the God of Winter to come out with a solution so that other creatures can live on its surface, as the summer can be too hot for animals and humans to live in and the winter season can be mercilessly cold for them

Thus the Earth suggested that the both of them to meet each other
