Jeongyeon will freeze in her place. Her eyes will fixate on the unconscious figure laying behind the glass windowpane. Her vision will blur as she steps closer, palms pressing against the cold barrier between her and the love of her life. Jeongyeon will stare, and stare, and stare, until her legs give up on her. She will drop to her knees, her tears will roll down her cheeks, and her heartache will choke her up. It should be me.

She will yell, and Jihyo will run to her. Jihyo will squat down to her level; she will pull her close; she will try to calm her down. Jihyo will wrap her arms around her; she will draw circles on her back; she will tell her they need to stay strong for her. For Nayeon.

She will sit down in the hospital hall for hours, holding her head between her hands, bawling her eyes out. She will remember all the nights she spent cheating on Nayeon, thinking she was cheating on her too, thinking she has stopped loving her. Jihyo will tell her she was either in the hospital, or staying at her place because she didn’t want Jeongyeon to see her that way. She will remember the last time she saw Nayeon awake, when she heard her throw up, and walked out thinking she had been drinking all night.

When Nayeon opens her eyes, she will ask for Jeongyeon, and Jihyo will hurry to call the girl in.
