Sitting at your desk typing away at your work you were interrupted by knocking at your door. Knock knock knock

"Jagiya?" followed by laughter.Recognizing that familiar laugh, it was your best friend Baekhyun."(y/n), open up!" He whined. You can imagine his pouty puppy face on the other side of your door, "(y/n)!”

Knock knock knock

Tearing yourself from your your work, you made your way to the door opening it up right before he was going to knock again. Hand in mid air his brown eyes widened for a fraction of a second before they disappeared hidden behind his eye smile. A smug smile appeared on his lips, "I knew you wouldn't leave me out here."

"I couldn't leave you out here whining like a lost puppy, you'll annoy the neighbors."

"Hey, I was kind enough to bring you some dinner." he whined again, as you opened the door wider to let him in. He made his way to your couch, flopping down, and slowly pulled out the dinner and placed it on the table "I was hungry so I thought that you'd be hungry and..... yea." He smiled at you after setting up the table. Making his way to you "Come on, sit, relax." You followed his lead to the couch. "Oh, and this movie came out." He was soon reaching back inside his bag and pulling out the most recent horror flick to hit South Korea."Ah, I see now. You were too scared to watch that movie by yourself and you came here bribing me with food to watch it with you." You laughed. "Nah, I wasn't scared, I was bored." He defended. "Yeah, sure," You say, trying to hide your smile behind your hand. His lips formed a pout again as he made his way to the TV to put in the movie. You got up to start turning off the lights, but as you reached over to flip the switch next to Baekhyun, he stopped you, "Ahh, No! Leave this one on so I can see...ummmm...my fork, yeah, my fork."

You smiled at him and mumbled a "sure scaredy pup."

As the movie progressed, Baekhyun managed to make his way to your side of the couch and had himself pressed against you with a blanket covering his eyes. Whenever a frightening scene would come up, a small "oh, kkaebsong" would escape his mouth. "Is it over?" You pat his head reassuringly "Yeah."

He peaked his head out from under the blanket and said, "That movie was okay, I don't know why everyone was so scared by it."

"Are you sure you were able to watch it behind that blanket, I think you missed all the good parts." You , a smirk on your face.

"I was using the blanket to block the blinding lights from the TV," He huffed in mock annoyance.

"Yeah,sure." you spoked as you poked his shoulder. "Yea sure" he mimicked.

"Well Baekhyun I have an essay to finish for my class," you said as you got up to retrieve your forgotten laptop from your room, “but you're welcome to stay, it’ll be pretty boring though.” “Sounds good,” he replied as he made himself comfort on the couch. When you returned Baekhyun had sprawled himself over the length of the couch, remote in hand and blanket still covering most of his face. The only problem was that there wasn't enough room for you to sit now. You set your laptop down on the coffee table and turned to face the giant puppy. “Don’t get too comfortable,” you said as you pushed his legs to the side and squeezed your way onto the couch. Before you were able to grab your laptop Baekhyun placed his feet on your lap. “Baekhyun, I need to finish my paper so move your feet,” but your request fell upon deaf ears as he continued to watch T.V. PINCH, PINCH. “Oww (Name), that hurt,” he whined as he rubbed feet. After winning your space on the couch, you reached for your laptop again and got straight to work. Baekhyun stayed quiet except for the occasional laugh here and there. Despite this, the atmosphere was peaceful and you felt even more motivated to finish your paper. After an hour you finished the last sentence to your paper, sighing in relief, you rested your head on the cushions that lay against the back of the couch as your eyes slowly started to close, “Hey are you done?” Without opening your eyes you replied, “Yes.” “Cool, you can relax now. Hey, we should play a game!” The couch began to shuffle as you could feel him trying to untangle himself from the blanket, “But, Baek, I’m sooo tired.” A small laugh escaped his lips, “I didn’t say right now, silly, you're so tired you are falling asleep on the couch.” You couldn’t help but smile at his observation “I’m not falling asleep, I’m just resting my eyes for a sec.” - YAWN - “Can’t you tell the difference?” “Phss. Yea, right, sleepy head,” suddenly you felt the soft material of a blanket being tucked around you. It was so warm and you knew it had to be the one he was using. With the warm embrace of the blanket and soft humming breaking the silence, you were enveloped by sleep.

The next time you opened your eyes you were shocked to find the morning sun peeking its way through the curtains of your room. ‘Morning already?’ Leaving the warmth of bed, you slowly made your way to your living room. “Baekhyun?” You called out only to be answered by silence. With that you headed to the kitchen hoping to find your friend, but again you were greeted with silence. But something did catch your eye. On top of your counter the was a single sunflower with a plate of sunny side up eggs and bacon shaped like a smiley face. Instantly, the gesture brought a smile to your face and you ate your breakfast while the petals of your sunflower. Once you were done, you picked up the dish only to find a note hidden underneath it. Picking up the note you could find Baekhyun’s hand writing scribbled on it. (How was breakfast? Hopefully it was good and it filled you up because you are going to need it. You were too tired to play yesterday so how about we play a game today! So get ready \(^-^)/ <3 Baekhyun) With a smile you happily got ready and were greeted with another note attached to your mirror. This one read: (Now that you are looking your best, like always, how about a drink from our coffee shop! You know the one! <3 Baekhyun) You knew exactly which shop he was talking about and so the game began.

Making your way a little ways from home, you made it to the coffee shop you and Baekhyun would regularly visit. As you passed through the doors heading to the counter, you were welcomed to the scent of vanilla, honey, and all things sweet. “Hello, miss, what can I get for you today?” “Hello, can I get a (your choice of drink), please,” you said excitedly. Suddenly the cashier eyes lit up with recognition, “Oh you must be (Name). A Mr. Byun said you would be coming in and already paid for your drink. I’ll have your drink made right up.” “ Ohh. Okay,” Baekhyun seemed to be one step ahead of you in this game. “(Name)!” your drink was placed on the counter with familiar scribbles decorating it ( Success you made it to the second checkpoint! Let us walk around in the sun, a place we are sure to have fun ! <3 Baekhyun) Underneath that note was a hastily scribbled (That was a lame clue. You have been cooped up inside your apartment due to your work, it's a beautiful day today. Go have some fun outside! You deserve it! There’s a park a little ways from here, so until next time <3 B ) A smiled tugged at your lips, “What a dork.” Rotating the cup, your eyes followed the lines of what looked like a map leading you to your next destination.  “Oh, my gosh, your boyfriend is so cute/romantic,” the cashier pulled you out of your thoughts. “He's not my boyfriend, but...” you were so flustered with the assumption and the teasing smile of the cashier that you stumbled your way out of the small cafe.

The walk to the park was an adventure in itself. The small inaccurate map had you wandering through side roads, the back alleys of apartment complexes, and through other unknown territories. You couldn’t even ask for the directions since that dummy only marked the map from start to finish with no street names or any way to identify your destination. It was just lines and arrows. But you continued to play  Even though it was a little nerve wracking, it was undeniably fun. It wasn’t much longer before you arrived at the park, your destination. You wouldn’t call this park extraordinary, by any means, it was simple and there was nothing wrong. It was a park that could appeal to any age just looking around you could see many kinds of people: Like the two boys fighting with toys swords, the elderly man sitting on a bench reading his novel, the young couple holding hands, seemingly in a world of their own. You could see why this park was so appealing to Baekhyun.

You wandered around the bright park. It really was a nice day, much like Baekhyun had said, and you found yourself lost in thoughts as you followed the path along the edge of the park.

“Miss!”  

You turn to see an ice cream vendor with his hand extended toward you. You looked around seeing that there was no one around you “Me?” The vendor dips his hand into his cart and pulls out a frozen treat “A gift for the lovely lady.” You turn to pull out your wallet “No, miss, it is a gift.”

“Thank you. Are you sure?”

The vendor nods extending his hand further out for you to obtain your ‘gift.’ You reach out for the dessert noticing that it happened to be your favorite flavor making you smile “Thank you, again.”  

You turn to continue down the path.“Miss,” the vendor calls out to you again. In his hand now held a familiar sun flower with a note hanging from its stem. “He’s one step ahead of me again.” You thank the vendor again before deciding to find somewhere to take a seat. Your eyes settled on the small swing set, something you and Baekhyun love to play on.

You rest on an empty swing pulling the sunflower’s note closer to read (Congrats on making it to the third checkpoint! But just chillax and you almost reached the end, I'll see you at the finish line with a photo finish.Im ready to move on to the the next level, and I hope you are to. Meet me at the place where our adventure began.) There wasn’t much to think about with this clue. You could never forget about the arcade where you first meet and became friends.

He was right, you should just ‘chillax,’ today has been the most relaxing day of your life so far. You have been focusing on your work and studies that you've been neglecting to take time for yourself. You couldn’t believe that it took Baekhyun dragging you across the city to realise that. He always seemed to be looking after you. Even with his busy schedule, he made time to see you every week. And on the days that he couldn’t see you, your phone would be full of messages.

His affection toward you almost felt natural.

Let's just say you fell for him.

The walk didn’t take as long because you knew where to go. You pulled open the glass doors and were greeted by the loud ruckus, from video game music to button slams.

You see a single photo booth is covered in balloons and a checkered flag finish line on the ground. You pull back the curtains and there is Baekhyun!! “Congrats you finished the game Bah Baba BaBaa Bahum!”.He then presents you a bouquet of sunflowers, the same ones you have been receiving all day.“Come on let's take some pictures” pulling you into the booth. Baekhyun starts pressing different buttons changing the filters, borders,and backgrounds. “Ah this will do, (y/n) strike a pose.” The both of you start doing silly poses, ‘V’ signs, silly faces, hearts, and countless others as the camera flashed away.“Alright, final one! Now (y/n) make the biggest eye smile that you can.” You attempt to do the eye smile. “No, no, no, Bigger, where your eyes are basically close.” The camera begins its final countdown “Come (y/n) on hurry!” His panicked expression and exaggerated antics made you really smile.You see the flash from your close eyelids but feel something press against your cheek. Baekhyun lips were pressed against your cheek. The action shocked you but you couldn't help but like it. “I have seen nothing but you smiling today and I hope that you’ll let me see it when I'm with you. (y/n) saranghae.”
