Chapter 2
ForeseeChapter 2,
School had ended a while ago and everyone in the classroom had cleared out. I stood up and grabbed my stuff heading towards the door.
Once I’m outside the classroom I make eye contact with Dohwan. He was standing across the hall leaning back against the wall with his hands in his pockets.
I sigh, what does he want now?
I ignore him and walk past him. Once I’m at the end of the hall I saw Minah and one of her friends waiting for me.
She smirks pushing herself off the wall coming towards me. Her smirk falls as her eyes move behind me.
“Yah Woo Dohwan, why do you keep ruining my plans?” She whines.
I glance over my shoulder and see him standing not far behind me. Why was he following me?
She glances back at me. “He won’t be around you forever, just you wait freak.”
She goes to bump her shoulder against mine but I fling back instead coming into contact with something else. She looks at me like I’m the weirdest thing she’s seen in her whole life before glaring at Dohwan and continuing down the hall.
I sigh relieved that she hadn’t touched me.
I rest my head back against what I was leaning on only to make eye contact with Dohwan. I was leaning on his chest? My hearts pounds, oh my god. I quickly push myself off him and raise a hand to my head feeling a bit dizzy at how fast I had moved. I touched him, I just touched him.
I brace myself for the vision reaching out towards the wall but after a few seconds nothing had happened. I look down confused, nothing had happened?
My gaze moves up to Dohwan who was looking at me equally confused but for a different reason.
“What’s going on?” I mutter to myself out loud. I took a step closer to him and reach out towards his arm. My hand visibly shaking along the way. I slowly grasp onto his wrist bracing myself once again but again nothing happens. I look at my hand confused.
Was I broken?
Had the curse ended over night or something?
I move my hand from his wrist to his shoulder. Still nothing. My hand moves to his chest. Nothing.
“Um? Are you alright?” He finally clears his throat.
I awkwardly make eye contact with him and his eyes dart down to my hand resting on his chest. I look down at it as well. I bet he thinks I’m weird now, well weirder than usual anyways.
I pull my hand off his chest and awkwardly laugh. “Ah sorry.” I hide my hand behind my back. I’d worry about this situation more once I got home, I didn’t want to weird him out anymore than I already had.
“You’re weird Ji.” He chuckles.
I shrug. “I never said I wasn’t.”
“Weird and sassy.” He snorts moving to walk past me.
I pause to take a breath taking everything in before turning to catch up to him. “Why did you wait for me?” I ask once I’m by his side.
“I overheard Lee talking about meeting up to talk some sense into you during 7th period. So I thought I’d stay after to see it.” He glances at me.
I couldn’t help but let a small smile form on my face. He’s such a bad liar. He knew if he showed up they’d be forced to leave. He stayed behind for my sake and I couldn’t help but smile at the thought of it. He really was a softy.
As we’re on the at out of the school building our homeroom teacher brushes past us, him in his horrible striped pants he decided to wear today. Everyone was
