Chapter 9,

“You-you see how people die don’t you?” He says lowly to which my eyes widen and my arms drop from their crossed position into my lap.

Wait what? How did he-how did he know that? Had Dohwan told him?

“What? How?” I stammer nervously not sure how exactly to ask him how he knows.

“I am the same as you. I see how people die.” He reassures me.

I freeze. “What?”

“I see how people die, just like you.” He swallows. “Only I don’t see them die through touch, I see it through my dreams.”

My mouth drops open. There are others like me?

“I dream about a person until I save them or they die." He pauses glancing down at his coffee.

My hands move to rest on the table, this was shocking. My eyes move back up to him since he had paused, his mouth moves to speak again.

"And right now I’m dreaming about you.”

My heart stops and my mouth falls open. This is unbelievable but at the same time believable.  “I’ve been writing you notes about how we are similar for a while now. I started dreaming about you last year.”

“Are you speaking the truth?” I ask him looking up towards him.

“Yes I am. I moved here because of you. I’m trying to save you.” He says reaching towards me but remembers that he can't touch me and pauses pulling away. “The dreams continue until finally I see how you die. But I haven’t had the dream of you dying yet. I had one around a month ago about you seeing death yourself and I realized why you stayed away from people. So that’s why I started writing the notes.”

He pauses.

“I want to help you.” He says, and I simply stare off into space. Like I said before, this doesn't make sense but I can't help but believe it because I can see death myself.

I shake my head.

“I’m sorry I’m just a little shocked right now. I didn’t think there was anyone else out there like me?” I say moving to grip onto my knees tightly.

“I know me either.” He answers with a small smile. “I mean we have different ways of seeing it but we still see the same thing.”

I nod. “That is true.”

“But back to the touch phobia thing, why is it that you let Woo Dohwan touch you? I haven't been able to figure out why through my dreams.” He squints questionably at me.
