Mark and Sana were on their way to the dinner event where they were invited by the Conde Nast Publications.  

 

“So you won’t be there, Mina-ya?” 

 

“Sorry Sana-chan I have another schedule in Busan. I don’t think I can make it” 

 

“Aww that ” 

 

“You take care alright?” 

 

“Okay Mina-ya. Bye now” 

 

“Bye bye” 

 

Sana was on the phone with her bestfriend, Mina. Mina couldn’t attend the dinner event due to her overlapped schedules.  

 

Sana hung up the phone call and sighed while looking out the window.  

 

“Mina couldn’t come?” Mark asked after hearing her conversation through the phone call 

 

She shook her head without turning to look at him. 

 

“Don’t be sad. You got me remember?” he smiled 

 

She moved her eyes from the window to her husband’s face. She threw him an icy glare before looking out the window again. Mark chuckled after receiving the icy glare from her. 

 

“Anyways, you know what to do right when we’re in public later, darling?” he pressed on the last word 

 

“Hmm” that was what Sana could reply 

 

“I don’t take ‘hmm’ as an answer Sana” 

 

“We’ve been ‘acting’ for four freaking months and you don’t have to ask me the same thing over and over again okay” she said 

 

“I’ll appreciate it if you have a nicer and lower tone not a raging one” he asked politely 

 

“Can you just stop treating me like I don’t understand a thing in this world?” Sana raised her voice 

 

“For the last time, my love, your tone” 

 

She sensed that he was upset as well. She felt that Mark can send her a warning just by speaking nicely. 

 

Sana cleared and looked out of the window again while saying, “Yes. I know what to do when we go in public, honey” 

 

“That’s more I like it” he smiled 

 

Mark then pulled her closer towards him by pulling her chin. He set his mouth near her ear and whispered, “Even your tone can give an effect to your family. Comprende?” 

 

Before letting her go, he landed a peck on her cheek. Sana pushed him away and wiped her cheek. Mark was laughing away. 

 

“Let’s pretend that you heard nothing” he said to the driver who was sneakingly throwing glances at them using the rear mirror 

 

The driver fixed his eyes back on the road while swallowing a lump in his throat, “Yes sir” 

 

“Good. Now speed up or we’re gonna be late”

Meanwhile in America, Jeongyeon and Nayeon who started feeling suspicious about Jeongyeon and Tzuyu’s father’s death, they began to do some investigating about it. However, there were no clues or evidence for them to bring up back the case.  

 

They both were walking together beside a lake after trying to find a way to bring the case back to the court. 

 

“This is not working, Jeongie” said Nayeon 

 

“What should we do? I don’t think by telling the court about my dream about appa will be a strong clue” Jeongyeon kicked a stone while she was walking 

 

“I guess we’ll have to wait until Tzuyu oppa gets back” 

 

“Hmm” Jeongyeon nodded 

 

“Hey don’t be sad okay? I’m here to help you, Jeongie” Nayeon playfully hit Jeongyeon’s shoulder using hers 

 

Jeongyeon blushed a bit after receiving a little skinship from the older girl. She thought that it was time to tell Nayeon about her true feelings. 

 

“Nayeonnie, there’s something I need to tell-” 

 

“Oh no! I forgot that I have a student meeting right now! Save the question for some other time 

Jeongie. I’m so sorry but I have to go right now” said Nayeon with her apologetic face 

 

“Oh, it’s okay. I guess I’ll see you at class tomorrow, Nayeonnie” Jeongyeon faked a smile 

 

“I’m sorry again. See you tomorrow Jeongie. Bye!” Nayeon quickly ran away to not miss her student meeting 

 

Jeongyeon sighed and dropped her head down after watching Nayeon leaving her alone. She kicked another stone into the lake. 

 

“I guess the confession have to wait”

Jeongyeon went home after one tiring day of investigation with Nayeon. She decided to not tell anyone about her curiosity towards her father’s death yet until she find an evidence. 

 

She entered the mansion with her tired heavy eyes. Before making her way upstairs to the living room, she heard her uncle calling her from the living room. 

 

“Jeongyeon? You’re home sweety?” 

 

“Yeah” she yawned and entered the living room. She saw Uncle Minwoo watching the TV while drinking a hot cup of tea. She threw herself onto the same couch where her uncle was sitting on. 

 

“Why were you late Jeongie? I thought your class finished in the evening” Mr.Minwoo asked 

 

“I hung out with Nayeon” Jeongyeon lied 

 

“Nayeon is a good girl why would she hang out till midnight?” 

 

“You’re saying I’m not a good girl, uncle?” Jeongyeon glared 

 

“What are you talking about? You’re my good niece” Mr.Minwoo ruffled her hair and chuckled 

 

“Uncle” 

 

“Yes sweetheart?” he took a sip of his tea 

 

“I miss appa” she said 

 

Mr.Minwoo suddenly chocked on his drink and was coughing badly. Jeongyeon patted his back to help him clear his throat. 

 

“Uncle, are you okay?” 

 

“Yeah sorry. I think I just swallowed a fly” he lied but actually he chocked because hearing the latter mentioning her father 

 

“You’re weird, uncle” Jeongyeon laughed 

 

“Hey why don’t you go to bed hmm? It’s really late right now and you have class tomorrow morning” Mr.Minwoo smiled 

 

“Okay. You’ll be fine?” she asked after standing up 

 

“I’ll be just fine. Goodnight sweety” 

 

“Nite nite uncle” Jeongyeon walked away heading towards her room upstairs 

 

‘What are you trying to do brother? Are you trying to haunt me or make the kids realize it?’ 

 

‘Forgive me brother. Please”

The forced wedded couple finally arrived at the dinner event. They were welcomed with paparazzi that were waiting outside of the entrance. After entering, they both were warmly welcomed by the chairman of Korea’s Vogue Girl magazine. 

 

“The lovely couple has safely arrived! Welcome Mark shi and Sana shi!” 

 

“Pleasure to meet you, Minho shi” Mark shook his hand with the chairman 

 

“My oh my. Look at your beautiful wife, Mark shi! She’s elegant!” Lee Minho took Sana’s hand and kissed it 

“Thank you” said Sana with her other arm hooked with Mark’s. 

 

“You both look really amazing together. Oh you’re so lucky to have each other!” said the chairman 

 

Mark smiled and looked at Sana, “Aren’t we, darling?” 

 

“Yes, honey” she faked a smile 

 

“Ooh I think I just got goosebumps just by hearing your lovely conversation! Alright now please follow me and I’ll introduce you to the other VIPs. Shall we?” 

 

Mark nodded and they both followed the chairman to meet everyone else. After meeting a few people, the chairman brought someone to meet Mark.  

 

“Mark shi, may I introduce you Chou Tzuyu, the heir of Chou’s Company in America” 

 

He shook his hand with Tzuyu, “Hello there. I’ve heard that your company produces high quality products. It’s a great honour to meet you” 

 

“Nice meeting you too” Tzuyu smiled 

 

Mark then turned around to call Sana who was busy chatting with other people, “Darling, would you come over here for a second please?” 

 

Sana heard his husband calling for her. She excused herself from the other to make her way to Mark. 

 

“Tzuyu shi, this is my wife, Minatozaki Sana. I’m sure you’ve known her” she heard Mark introducing her to the particular familiar man 

Sana could not believe her eyes after seeing his face. She never thought that they will meet again. She looked at him without even blinking her eyes. Her face looked like she just saw a ghost. 

 

“Yes, I’ve known her…” she heard him said 

 

“You…” she said under her breath 

 

“Sana” Mark called 

 

She couldn’t hear her husband calling for her, even the surrounding in the ballroom. All she did was, looking at Tzuyu. She looked at every inch of his face and her eyes ended at his lips. The lips that laid on hers yesterday.
