The next morning, Sana woke up early to get ready for her schedule on that day. She climbed off the bed to open the curtain letting the sunlight to shine in her own bedroom. Yes, her own bedroom. She and her forced-wedded husband, Mark Tuan, used separated rooms ever since they got married four months ago. Mark Tuan agreed to be in separated rooms, as long as Sana remained to be his wife. 

 

Sana walked out of her bedroom and walked down the stairs to make her way to the kitchen. The maids and the chef quickly bowed and greeted her after seeing her walking in. 

 

“Good morning, mam”  

 

“Morning everyone” she smiled 

 

“As usual mam, your coffee” one of the maid gave Sana a hot cup of coffee 

 

“Thank you. And I told you not to call me mam. Just call me Sana” she patted on the maid’s shoulder 

 

The chef and the maids face quickly shook their heads. They pointed at the balcony. Sana turned her head to look at the place they pointed, and she saw a man sitting there while reading newspaper.  

 

Sana sighed and nodded towards them. That man, of course it was Mark. He commanded everyone in the house to respect Sana by calling her ‘mam’.  

 

“Sana” 

 

She hated hearing that voice. And for some reason, she hates it when she was called by her full name. She brought along her cup of coffee and walked to the balcony. She sat on the empty chair opposite him. On the table was served some bread toasts, a jar of jam and peanut butter on the side. 

 

“Good morning” said Mark 

 

She did not respond. 

 

“I said good morning” he moved his face away from the newspaper to look at her 

 

Sana responded with an icy glare towards him. 

 

He just chuckled. He folded the newspaper and put it aside. 

 

“Eat your breakfast my dear” 

 

He would always try to coerce her by using his lovely tone. But to Sana, it wasn’t lovely at all. Even by calling her with sweet words, it didn’t give an effect to her at all. 

 

“I’m not hungry” 

 

“So you’re just thirsty?” he watched her sipped on her coffee 

 

She sighed and just watched the scenery of the lake beside their house. The lake view was lovely. If only she could share the beauty of the lake with someone whom she will love so much. But she had been waiting for the perfect person for a long time. 

 

The wind made strands of hair to block Sana’s face. Mark made himself closer to her to move away the blocking strands of hair. Sana saw his movement and instantly moved her face to the other side so he won’t even get the chance to touch her face. 

 

Mark laughed a little and returned back to his normal sitting position. 

 

“So icy even in the morning” he said. 

 

“There’s something I need to tell you Sana” 

 

“What?” she replied 

 

“You won’t have any schedules for today. Even tomorrow, the next day, and the rest of your life” 

 

“What are you talking about?” she looked at him 

 

“You are now officially, jobless” he smirked 

 

“What?!”  

 

“No more modeling for you. Comprende?”  

 

“Why are you doing this to me?”  

 

“So that you will just stay at home and be a good wife” he smiled as he stood up 

 

“You wanted me to be your wife. And now I am married to you for four miserable months! What else do you want from me?!” Sana stood up 

 

“Your love Sana! Your love!”  

 

“I told you that my love for you will not ever exist!” 

 

“So that’s why I told you to just stay at home and be a freaking good wife!” Mark pushed a plate onto the floor. It crashed into pieces. The sound of the crash made Sana startled. 

 

He straightened his shirt, his tie and he fixed his hair. He began to breathe in normally and just looked at the pale-faced Sana. 

 

“I know one day, you will give up your love for me” he said. “I need to go to work. I won’t be home till midnight” 

 

Mark grabbed his briefcase and coat before leaving his wife behind and exited the house.  

 

After seeing Mark leaving, Sana breathed in nervously as she sat back on the chair. Her fingers were trembling. The maids who heard the fight quickly entered the balcony to help clean the mess. 

 

“I- I’m sorry. Please let me clean it” Sana quickly kneed on the floor and started to help the maids 

 

“It’s okay mam. Everything’s gonna be fine” the maids stopped Sana from helping them 

 

One of the maids tried to calm Sana down by running her palm up and down on Sana’s back. Sana failed to stop her tears from flowing out. She poured out her tears while setting her head on the maid’s shoulder.  

 

“I want my father back..” she sobbed 

 

“We understand your situation mam. But we can’t do anything..” said the maids 

 

Flashback 

 

“Dad! No you can’t leave us dad!” Sana and Krystal cried in their father’s arm 

 

Mr.Minatozaki suddenly had a heart attack when he was working in his office. He was quickly brought to the hospital with the help from Mark Tuan, one of his helpful business partner who raised the name and popularity of Minatozakis’ Company. Mark Tuan was also one of Mr.Minatozaki’s trustworthy partner. 

 

“Sana..” Mr.Minatozaki called his eldest daughter 

 

“Dad please I need you. We need you!” Sana’s eyes turned red and swollen from crying too much 

 

“Marry.. marry Mark..”  

 

“W-What?” Sana, Krystal and Mrs.Minatozaki were surprised 

 

“Marry him. Everything will be fine..”

“I want my father back..” she said softly in her tears

Meanwhile in America, 

 

“Morning aunt Jihyo!!” Tzuyu walked into the kitchen while stretching 

 

“Yah Tzuyu! You scared me!” Jihyo held her chest where her heart is after getting startled by Tzuyu’s loud voice 

 

“Hehe sorry. Where’s Uncle Minwoo and Nayeon?” he sat by the kitchen counter 

 

“Tzuyu it’s 10 in the morning. Uncle Minwoo left for work and Nayeon left for university about 3 hours ago” Jihyo knocked on Tzuyu’s head 

 

“Oww. Time flies so fast huh?” 

 

“It’s not the time. It’s you who overslept. Eat your breakfast Tzuyu” 

 

Tzuyu chuckled while he took a box of cereal and poured it into a bowl. Then he took a carton of milk and poured it all over the cereal. Before starting to eat, he noticed a sticky note on the kitchen counter. 

 

“Hmm what’s this?” he took it

“Don’t even try to ditch work again Tzuyu. Look outside the house” Jihyo tilted her head signaling Tzuyu to look outside the window
