Author's note: A really short drabble that I came up with on my commute home - I hope all the students gain strength after reading this short piece :)

Scratch. Scratch. Scratch. 

Click. Click. Click. 

Flip. Flip. Flip. 

All around you, students busied their hands furiously typing or copying notes from the lecture slides that seem to fly past the screen. Grunts can be heard all over the lecture hall as students failed to once again take down important points; some of them eventually resorting to voice recording the lesson for playback later. Unfazed by the commotion around her, your lecturer droned on and on about the concepts, clearly expecting the students to keep up with her pace.

You were trying as well. 

Except that you're failing quite terribly at it. 

Staring at the screen ahead, your vision blurs as you desperately try to fight sleep. Peeling your eyes wide open, you stare dead ahead at the huge screen in an attempt to stay awake; but to no avail. The words and diagrams swim in front of your eyes, forming a hazy curtain in front of your eyes. Setting your pen down firmly on the paper in front of you, you try your best to copy down the content that flashes by but constantly switching between the pen and screen tires you out even more and slowly you began to lose consciousness as the hands of sleep try to drag you in. 

I can't...take...this...anymore...
