Chapter 18 - The Bunny, The Bear and The Scorpion

Boa picked up the electric clippers from the table. “Good bye, Jung Yunho,” she said and turned the clippers on, creating a buzzing sound.

Yunho was sitting on the chair in the salon and was ready to get a buzz cut. The stylist took the electric clippers from the pop princess and went ahead to shave Yunho’s hair, letting huge chunks fall on the ground.

At the end of the hair cut, Yunho looked at his face in the mirror and touched his hair. He looked so different. “How is it?”

“Wow you look so manly!” Boa complimented him, running her hand through the texture of his hair. “If you weren’t an idol, you could pass for a good-looking pleasant neighbor.”

“Haha. Thanks, you’re the best.” Yunho returned her flattering remark.

“You look like a husband. Or even a father,” Boa teased.

“Hah? Don’t go there, we’re the same age,” Yunho also returned Boa's teasing remark.

“Ah, right, right,” Boa also laughed as they clapped their hands into an agreement.

After paying at the salon and saying thanks to the hairstylist, Yunho said, “Let’s go,” They’re going back to SME so Yunho could say goodbye to his friends and the staff there.

“Wait Yunho... Before I forget.” BoA was actually holding something behind her back. "I made you a letter..." She smiled sincerely and handed him a white envelope.

Yunho was surprised and chuckled at Boa. "A handwritten letter? Didn't know you were so sentimental." He received Boa's gift.

Boa blushed a bit, thinking too that it was a tad cheesy. "That's one of my strengths.. Oh just read it!"

"Now?" Yunho joked and tried to pry into the envelope but Boa grabbed his hand to stop him.

"Not now! When you get in the military!" She laughed. "You'll be gone for a long time.. So make sure to write back okay?"

Yunho just smiled at her. Boa always treated him specially well and they go way back. She was the first to get popular in Japan, and Yunho looked up to her and respected her strength. They, TVXQ, had five members going around begging people to listen to their CDs, and when there were setbacks and rejections, they had each other for comfort. But Boa was trying to make a name for herself alone in a foreign place.

"Of course I'll write you back. Would a letter in military speech be okay?" Yunho joked. Then Yunho thought of something. "Right, a letter! Come with me.”

Yunho went out of the salon and into the second floor of the building with small shops. Boa tagged along. They entered a book store that was also selling other miscellaneous things. Yunho went into the aisle with stationeries.
