"I'm your ex-boy, can't we go back to a time when we were happy?"

Yoo Kihyun and Sohn Mina were inseperable from the start of their relationship, but as soon as Monsta X started becoming more well-known and they started having a busier schedule, the two fell apart from each other. Articles and many fans would say that it was all Mina's fault because she didn't try to work something out with Kihyun, but the truth of it was that it wasn't really anyone's fault. They just naturally split. But according to the members and Mina, they all knew that it was really mostly Kihyun's fault because he failed to acknowledge their problems. Although to the rest of the world they were a perfect couple, like all normal relationships they did have their conflicts but instead of trying to work it out Kihyun pretended that nothing was wrong in their relationship. It wasn't that he didn't care it was just that he was always afraid that it would become the end of their relationship. But of course that wasn't the smartest way of resolving the problem. After a while of Mina shrugging their problems off and just going on with life, she finally snapped and that's when articles started to quickly release information about the couple's split. 

The other members tried their best to pretend that the couple's split didn't cause any tensions between the members and Mina, but all of them knew that even though both Kihyun and Mina said that it was a mutual decision, both of them really didn't want it to end. Kihyun tried to fix everything then but it was too late because Mina had made her decision to give up because she did not want them to continue to be that way. It was obvious that although Mina seemed okay with being around the members from time to time to hang out with them, Shownu would always refuse to let his younger sister be around Kihyun ever again. Mina didn't hang around for long though because she had to start university soon so she had a lot of packing to do. She believed it was good that they at least ended their relationship before she became stressed over university, but she truly hoped things would've worked out. 

Now it's been almost a year since Mina has seen any of the members and she's coming back into their lives once again. All of the members except for Kihyun has forgotten what had happened a year ago. He had spent the past year trying to figure himself out and move on, but he still finds himself thinking about his first true love from time to time. Always wondering what she's doing, how she is, and when she'll come back. Luckily for Kihyun, Mina is coming back and this may or may not be when the power couple goes back together.
