Case of the Missing Dog Toy

Jongin whined as he paced back and forth.

"Pup! You're going to be late!"

Jongin whined as he heard the call of his mom from downstairs, "Just a minute mom!" He yelled back before rummaging through his closet.

Where was it??

He looked through his closet, thinking maybe he left it there when he was changing. Then he checked his desk. Then his toy chest and then the bathroom.

It wasn't there!

"Pup seriously!" The voice of his mom was louder and she was using her 'alpha ' voice, making Jongin whine with distress. He pulled on a sweatshirt and bounded down the stairs, his tail literally hanging between his legs.

"Mommy~" Jongin cuddled up to his werewolf mother, sniffing and taking in her relaxing scent.

"What is it pup?" She didn't even bother to stop what she was doing. Jongin was her youngest and often acted like it. Although is was going to be 17 in another couple months, he still acted like a pup.

"I can't find it."

"Find what?"

"My Binku."

"Binku?"

"You know, my favorite bear shaped chewing toy? Binku?"

His mother made a 'o' with , "Oh! Binku!" 
Jongin looked at her expectantly.

"No I don't know."

Jongin sighed. 



 

When he walked outside, he saw Kyungsoo coming out of his home. Jongin usually would've waved happily, called out to Kyungsoo, ran over and given him a hug. But today was different. Today, Jongin was Binku-less.

Kyungsoo seemed to notice the mood-change in the young werewolf, "Jongin?" The siren made his way over to the moping monster, "What's wrong bud."

Jongin shook his head. Nobody knew about Binku (except Sehun of course) and he wanted to keep it that way. Kyungsoo saw right through his lie.

"Kim Jongin tell me what is wrong."

Jongin stiffened, "I lost my childhood toy Binku, which I carry in my backpack everywhere and now I'm really sad." He said rapidly, even before he could stop himself.

Stupid sirens and their stupid powers.

Kyungsoo snorted, "Y-You lost your chew toy?! HA."

Jongin pouted, "Hyung...it's not a chew toy! It's just....a relic from my childhood that is really precious to me."

Kyungsoo chortled, "Right. A relic."

Jongin whined, "I knew I shouldn't have told you. You're just going to make fun of me now."

Kyungsoo bit back a smile at the moping werewolf and patted his back comfortingly, "Now what kind of Hyung would I be if I didn't help you? Where is the last place you saw it?"

Jongin lit up, happy that his friend was willing to help, "Um...two nights ago. I was chew- I mean...I was setting it aside as Sehun came over. We wer-"

"I don't want to know."

"HYUNG!" Jongin's cheeks flushed bright pink, "W-we were playing computer games!"

Kyungsoo snorted, "Right. What happened after that?"

"Well..I think Binku got knocked off the table and I meant to pick him up but I didn't want to loose the game so I decided to pick him up later. But then I got distracted because Luhan came over and brought food. "

"So he's not in your room?" Kyungsoo asked, raising an eyebrow. Jongin shook his head, pushing open the classroom door, "Nope. I was looking for so long this morning. He's just not there."

"Who's just not there?"

Jongin yelped as a monster popped up right in front of them. A wide eyed Tao was standing in front of them, chewing on gum while wiggling his cat ears expectedly.

"Nothing." Jongin stammered quickly just as Kyungsoo said "He lost his chew toy."

"HYUNG!"

Tao snorted, "You have a doggie chew toy?"

"It's not a chew toy!"

"What's not a chew toy?"

Jongin groaned as Chanyeol came up behind them. When will he get a break?


 

Tao clapped his hands loudly, silencing the others in the cohort. Amber had stepped out for lunch, leaving the 11 (Sehun was absent that day) monsters to their own devices.

"Alright Hoes! We've got a big issue on our hands." Tao said, standing up on his desk. Jongin's eyes widened as he realized where this was going.

"Taozi Hyung don't do it."

"Jongin here has lost his very special doggie toy-"

"It'S NOT A DOG TOY!"

"-And we have to help him find his cute little Binku."

The other monsters were trying their hardest not to laugh. Jongdae of course, failed. He was hooting and hollering, making Jongin shrink in his seat. Finally, Junmyeon smacked the imp on the back of the head, "Jongdae. Behave." He said sternly.

Yixing sniffed and looked up from his forth sheep doodle, "We'll help you Nini!" He turned a page in his notebook and clicked his sparky flower pen, "Now, what does Binku look like?" 



 

"I know! We can make a missing persons' poster!" Baekhyun said loudly, snapping his fingers.

Kyungsoo looked at him as if he grew two heads, "You're an idiot."

"Wait no! This might actually work! If we put up pictures of how Binku looks, maybe someone has seen him!" Yifan added. Baekhyun made a sound of approval and leaned over to give the vampire a high five.

Yixing popped up and ran out the door. Junmyeon scrambled out of his seat and followed his boyfriend while yelling after him, "Waaaiit Yixing where are you going???!"

Yifan also stood up, "Well, I'm going to the art room to get some posters ready, wanna come with?" He asked, looking at Baekhyun and Tao. Baekhyun was all for it, also pulling Chanyeol with him ("let's go chan" "okay baekkie") . Tao just followed his dumb boyfriend.

Xiumin floated over with his ghostly self and patted Jongin's shoulder, "Don't worry Nini, we'll find Binku."

 

Jongin didn't know what he was looking at.

"Uh..."

Yifan smiled widely, holding the paper in front of the werewolf, "Isn't it good?!! I'm literally the best artist."

Jongin sniffed, "B-Binku is blue."

Yifan's smile fell off his face, "W-What?"

Baekhyun and Jongdae could barely hold their giggles in.

Yifan looked destroyed, "whAT KIND OF BEAR IS ING BLUE?"

"Leave it be babe, dog toys can be any color." Tao said, patting his boyfriend's back.

Jongin just about had it, "First of ing all, I never asked for any of your help! You just inserted yourself in MY problem and didn't even let me TALK. I didn't want anyone to know about Binku because it's embarrassing! OKAY?!"

"AnD FOR THE LAST TIME. IT'S NOT A DOG TOY!" With that, Jongin stomped out of the classroom.

A few seconds later, Amber came waltzing in, drinking the last of her StarBrews (it's a witch owned Coffee shop), "Hey guys! What did I miss?" 


 

Jongin whimpered as he pawed at his muzzle. He was currently in his wolf state, hidden underneath a pile of blankets on his bed. He had run home from school, not caring if he would get in trouble the next day or not.

Jongin felt terrible for blowing up on his friends like that. They were only trying to help. But they weren't exactly doing a good job. Jongin didn't know what to feel. He was just upset.

"Knock knock."

Jongin's ears perked up when he heard the familiar voice of a familiar thunderbird. Sehun pushed the door open, his wings brushing against the doorway as he walked into Jongin's room, "Where's my y, cute werewolf hmm?" The thunderbird cooed as he walked towards the bed.

Jongin whined louder, his tail thumping loudly against the mattress. Sehun smiled and pushed off all the blankets that were suffocating Jongin, "There's my baby." He said, petting Jongin's fur. Jongin smiled, his tongue hanging out of his wolfy-mouth. This was exactly what he needed.

Sehun laid down next to Jongin, wrapping his arms and wings around the large wolf, "I heard what happened at school."

Jongin rumbled lowly as he buried his head in Sehun's chest.

"Why don't you shift for me, then I can hug you properly?" Sehun asked with a low gentle voice. Jongin nodded and in seconds, the large wolf was replaced by a slender tan male. Sehun pulled Jongin closer, "You know, they aren't mad at you."

"Good...I even swore at them Hunnie." Jongin said, enjoying the warmth that came from his boyfriend. Sehun chuckled, patting Jongin's back rhythmically, "Damn, I wish I didn't miss that."

Jongin gasped and smacked Sehun's chest, making the taller male laugh harder, "Sorry, sorry. Anyway, aren't you going to ask me why I didn't show up to school today?"

Jongin nodded, "Yea! You left me all alone you big meanie."

Sehun frowned, "I was getting a present for you."

"I take that back you're not a meanie now gimme."

Sehun laughed while leaning down to kiss Jongin's forehead. He rummaged through his coat pocket and pulled out a cute pink plushie.

Jongin gasped, "Is that...Pinku-Pinku?"

Sehun nodded and reached into his coat pocket again. He pulled out a familiar blue bear chewing toy. Jongin gasped even louder, "biNKU!!!"

Sehun put the two toys next to each other, "I skipped so I can have custom sweatshirts made for Pinku Pinku and Binku." Jongin smiled when he saw both toys wearing tiny sweatshirts that had "OSH + KJI= <3" on them.

Jongin squealed as he brought Binku up to his face, snuggling it. He had the best boyfriend in the world. 



 

Sorry this was updated so late in the day! I have a lot going on right now. Like I'm taking the PSAT on Wednesday and the ACT a couple days right after on Saturday and on Sunday I have a dance performance and Thursday I have a pre-calc test and oh my god I'm drowning in so many activities and I'm so overwhelmed and ugh it's just rough rn.

And since I'm in Junior year (11th grade) I have to start looking for colleges and universities and I'm so tired you know?

But I really wanted to stick to the schedule so here you go! Another crappy chapter for you guys.

I'm really sorry the quality of my writing is slowly deteriorating..... after October I'll be able to update more hopefully !
