Wrapping Paper.
The Ink Slinger's Diary (Seulrene Drabble Collection)Prompt: Person A can't wrap gifts to save their life, Person B amusingly watches.
Kang Seulgi was battling against the festive wrapping paper in the middle of the night. The noises echoed not so discreetly across the dorm. Seulgi couldn’t help but to laugh at the way she was failing, looking at the tree and truly considering just chucking the gifts she’s brought for her bandmates and just giving them out like that in the coming morning.
“No, no, that’s too much, Kang Seulgi,” she said to herself, tapping her head playfully. “You can do this.”
She steeled herself again with scissors in hand, a roll of new, silver wrapping paper and lots of tape by the coffee table. Undoing the previous mess, she did it all over again. The easiest gift were the two that came in boxes and the one that was easily in a gifting bag, but the trickier gifts were, coincidentally, her girlfriends gifts. Small but simple, yet so tricky to get around.
The clumsy bear did her best to stay quiet, keeping her laughing fits to herself while her bandmates slept…
Or well, no, considering Bae Joohyun had woken up ten minutes ago to wrap the gift SHE got for Seulgi, which shouldn’t take no time at all. However, hidden in the shadows of the hallway was the mischievous bunny, somehow not standing out for Seulgi who was too busy laughing and failing at wrapping her gifts. Joohyun not only already knew what Seulgi got her, but she could see it clearly. Her girlfriend was never good at hiding things, was she?
And you would think that Joohyun would jump to the rescue.
But she didn’t.
“Ahh, seriously,” Seulgi said to herself, dropping all tools and looking at an amalgamation she called a ‘gift’ and then she laughed in silence.
There in the distance, Joohyun laughed too, but couldn’t help but to feel her heart flutter at the ever charming, ever calming Kang Seulgi.
