Youngjae showed the bouncer, your typical muscular and intimidating tattooed man, his fabricated police badge. In case Youngjae got himself into a hard spot, Yongguk had Daehyun made everyone official authorize emblems. The man lets him pass with one nod. Inside, where the party was, Youngjae scanned the dimly lit room—for alluring effect—for a place to sit. With working, fast eyes he noticed an open spot at a counter.

As naturally as he could, Youngjae readjusts the pen in his pocket and pressed down on the top once. Then carefully he ambled his way over to the bar where he was greeted by an exquisite bartendress. He watched as she shook the alcohol bottle in her hands, making a swishy sound, “Drink?”

“Got whiskey?”

“What kind?”

“Scotch, no ice,”

“One Scotch whiskey coming right up,”

Momentarily, he broke away from the woman and counter to study the people present. Oddly enough no one stood out as suspicious. Everyone had company and appeared casual—just friends and couples hanging out together on a Friday night. Seconds later, the sound of glass being set down on wood caught his attention. He swirled back around and was met with the beverage he ordered.  “Your Scotch whiskey, no ice,”

“Thank you,” Youngjae reached for the transparent glass, his fingers wrapping around its bowl and stem. Before he took a sip, Youngjae opened up a conversation with the female. “Good business around here?”

She shrugged, “Some nights,”

Turned off by her unexpected aloofness, Youngjae decided to hunt elsewhere. With the drink in one hand, Youngjae pocketed his other while being heedful of the pen altogether. After some time he managed to move past all the bodies on the floor and found a table close to the wall. He kept his eyes and ears open as he takes sips.

Then, about an hour later, Youngjae found himself at another table that was occupied by a couple—making out. So far he hasn’t caught the right people through eavesdropping but has heard interesting stories that kept him from falling asleep. Funnily, there was a lawyer in the room who was being forced into an arranged marriage with the heir of a car sales company.  Then there was another woman drinking with her friend, engaged in conversation about her ex that had just gotten married but was caught cheating by his wife.

Youngjae smirked at their affairs. Delighted he was fortunate enough to not share their headaches and heartaches.

After the last hour and a half, Youngjae began to wonder if he had to stay till the place closes, at four the next morning. As his patience runs thin, the sound of men’s heels clicking against the wooden tiles alerted him. The newcomers—party of four—were murmuring in the beginning. Then as time passes, he started picking up louder and more vivid words like “Big boss Bang”, “scammers”, and “wipe out”.

Without being too obvious, Youngjae scooted closer to their table. Gently he pulled the pen up half a finger length.

“Those rascals need to be silenced. Their scams are attracting too much attention from the fuzz,” said man one.

“Do you propose we jump them on their next mission, boss?” questioned man two.

“Well since you useless worms can’t unearth their HQ, we got no choice don’t you think?” the male’s rough voice left the others speechless and one-by-one they cleared their throat to prevent an awkward moment. However, still, silence befell at their table until Youngjae caught a glimpse of what was happening. The man, technically the boss, was checking his phone. Though the reason as to why flew right over Youngjae’s head and before he knew it, he was found out.

Frankly, another man’s hand fell onto and gripped down Youngjae’s shoulder. The sudden contact left the seated frozen in place. His heart was pounding, out of control, against his rib cage. Has he’s been exposed? With caution, he followed the hand and arm of the person weighing him down.

An unfamiliar face.

A smirk was produced on the nameless man’s bronzed face. Baring his molars the stranger spoke, “Run and you die,”

Youngjae chose not to respond nor to react. Instead, he pauses, hoping the other would lay out a list of options for him. But before he gets anymore alone time with the man, the party at the table approached them. And just as he feared, he’s been exposed.

The male, most likely their boss, clicked his tongue as he shook his head fairly, “Finally, I’ve been waiting for this moment. For a minute there I thought I had to pull the rabbit out of the hat, but you actually do exist,”

The cornered one put on a grin, hoping it would insert in some sort of confusion, “I’m flattered you t

Chapter 20: youngjae did his homework. good for him. he threw out a bait and daewon bit it. now all thats left to do is to find seyeon. since we learn that shinhye is a boxer or wanted to become a boxer, it makes sense how shes always compose and has her emotion under control. shes probably good at dealing with pain too. right now i want to know what shinhye meant when she asked if youngjae was from the future 'too'? is shinhye really the person jongup knows that can also travel through time? bcuz that will be interesting. overall good update.

Chapter 19: This chapter started a lot better! :) it was much smoother and easier to follow without suddenly dropping the reader into a moment that had already began. It flowed really well from one chapter to the next. :)

Also I hope Youngjae gets to meet his lookalike. Heehee the idea is funny.

Chapter 18: I like your plot, but I’ve come to notice your starting and ending to your chapters can get a little confusing. Like you’re trying to keep some details hidden or something, but they are a little hard to follow at first. It shakes the flow of the story some in my opinion.

Just an observation, and maybe some helpful criticism.

Also YAY JONGUP. HE MY BIAS. <3

Chapter 18: good chapter. if i look back i place my bet on youngjaes lookalike being the mysterious one that warned him earlier on. am also curious about the woman jongup speak of. did my research and shinhye said the word love already so it cant be her. unless teleportation isnt promptly.
