Description

You're Kim Myungsoo's girlfriend, and the two of you have been dating for more than three years. Myungsoo has always been the sweetest, kindest and well, not too funny guy but the point is - you couldn't ask for better. He doesn't look down on you for being in the middle-class family, neither does he despise you for not being as smart as he is. Your grades scrape through every year, and he's always been the cream of the crop. It was a fortunate turning point in your life, and you wished desperately for it to be Myungsoo's as well. He had a tough childhood that only you knew, and his close friends too; that explains the extremely icy exterior he has.

It was a wonderful relationship.

And one day, all of that changed.

Myungsoo brought back girls from bars, even came home drunk more than once. He knew how much you hated the smell of alcohol but he disregarded all of that. There were several rumours spreading that on nights he didn't come back to the apartment you two shared, he was out banging girls in different clubs. The one thing you didn't expect from him, was the sudden ability to turn abusive. He hit you when you didn't give in to his urges, and you didn't have a good night whenever he was around because of the way he treated you.

He stopped comforting you.

He stopped paying any attention to you.

The change in him had been so drastic and beyond anyone's belief; how could you bring yourself to watch without having your heart broken?

To leave?

Or to stay and be broken?

Foreword

“It’s too late, Myungsoo.”

The cold gaze in Myungsoo’s eyes didn’t falter once, and he shoved the rejection away effortlessly – he only asked because his friends were bugging him to anyway. He didn't need you anymore, did he? Not when he was busy partying it up every night with different girls coming home with him... what was the point of getting stuck to one girl anyway? Myungsoo was tired of you, and he was tired of the vanilla relationship you maintained for almost three and a half years. There was no more excitement between either of you, not even in bed; no more butterflies in his stomach when he saw you in a dress.

Was it because you were not as pretty as other girls in the school or the club? Or was it because you were not ready to have more than gentle with him?

Your heart shattered everytime he left the room secretly; your eyes were always shut but tears slid down your cheeks the moment he left. Many a time you regretted pretending to sleep because the conversation he had with his on the phone was always audible, no matter how soft it was.

Just why had things changed so much?
