Hello! Purple Heavens welcomes all, and hereby deem us all friends. This is the third official contest I am hosting, and if there's anything that I have learnt from months of judging written, graphic and film entries, it's that every artist has the power to illustrate the same world in a different light, and in that are countless ways that never fail to amaze me as a reader and interpreter.
Written contests are a personal favourite, and so I am presenting another one! Contests aren't just for participants, readers are invited too. Within Purple Heavens, there're multiple SECTIONS entries will be found under; please don't confuse them with genre categories, for all genres except horror (this is a rule) are gladly accepted. This is explained below. For now, if you're interested in entering, hit the rules and prompts, and if you're not, scroll through the stories under the provided SECTIONS of your taste, and enjoy the ride :)

ONE/ Subscribing is essential. Upvoting isn't mandatory but you will be worshipped.
TWO/ Fanfictions are to be written after the year of 2016.
THREE/ All genres are accepted except horror. (!!!)
FOUR/ You may enter as many times as you want, in as many SECTIONS and ROUNDS as you want.
FIVE/ Automatic disqualification for plagiarism, PWP, gender-bending and M-PREG.
SIX/ When using a prompt in a ROUND, please include it in the foreword of your entry with the number and quote. These do not have to navigate your storyline, but must be explicitly incorporated in some way; give meaning to it.
SEVEN/ Provocative, mature content is accepted, but it needs to be decent and not make the readers feel uneasy and uncomfortable, otherwise reading, and hence judging, will be discontinued.
EIGHT/ If writing in the English language is not a strong area, please have your entry beta-read. Excessive grammatical errors will unfortunately affect the reading experience for Grammar Nazis such as myself. For this reason, prizes will not be split between authors and beta-readers (ie will only reward the author and co-authors).
NINE/ You must credit this contest in your foreword with the banner (either one), linked: x x
TEN/ Entries submitted into SECTIONS must aim for 2000-4000 words per chapter. Entries submitted into ROUNDS do not have a word limit, but must be under 11 chapters.
ELEVEN/ Deadlines are final and will not be extended upon requests.
TWELVE/ Entries may be entered into other contests as long as this is also granted in those contests.
THIRTEEN/ Comment after submitting an entry and again when you have finished the story (unless it's already completed). There is a grading system associated in all SECTIONS; A's representing an enjoyable read, and E's not so much. Completed entries before the deadline will be read and graded ASAP. These are two different components. SECTIONS are thematically targeted, meaning entries must explore a specific idea in order to be classified under the SECTION. Some will be abstract, others cliche af, but essentially be made adaptable to all genres (hence why I stress genre categories are different). ROUNDS on the other hand, are seasonal. When it's Christmas, there'll be a Christmas ROUND. When it's Autumn, there'll be an Autumn ROUND (adjusted to Australia's seasons cause ya gal's Australian!). However, ROUNDS are spontaneous, appearing when I find the time to judge a sudden batch of entries. So even when Summer starts for you, don't expect a definite ROUND. I will keep everyone posted though, you can regularly check the UPCOMING DATES AND DEADLINES below.
