Description

He's a very talented singer and producer. Young and handsome. Someone whose fame just keeps rising every day. Everybody wants to get associated with him. He's confident on the outside, but the truth is he's very self-critical. He takes things seriously. Sometimes, too seriously.

She's a member of a very popular girl group. Dubbed as the prettiest, but most untalented of the four. She's mainly just doing a little hosting and variety - not what she really wants but she'll take all the work she can get. Her past keeps haunting her, but all she wants to do is be free from it and be happy.

The music and entertainment business is small so they were bound to meet each other. They were so different, yet so alike. They were an odd pair. The mere thought of them being in a relationship was something nobody saw coming. Can they get over those differences and manage to stay together?

Foreword

This is my first FF. I am obsessed with these two, and sad that there were very few FFs featuring the two of them so I decided to make this. This will be loosely based on their lives as celebrities. Feel free to comment and let me know what you think about it. Enjoy!

Hyuk

He’s in the studio again. Just one of those many days his skin doesn’t get any touch of sunlight because he’s cooped up in that room, making music. He’s been writing songs since middle school but he didn’t take it seriously since it was just a hobby because he’s bored from the monotony of school. A few years had already passed and he’s now established himself a good reputation in the US scene as a producer. He got more known after his collab with Eric Bellinger and people are looking forward to what he’s going to come up with next. However, he wanted to be known in his homeland too. And although he’s shy to admit it, he also misses the smell of home and his mom’s cooking pretty bad. He decides that it’s high time he go back to his roots and make a name for himself in South Korea too. His company won't let him go that easily though because he’s in high demand so he decides to lock himself in that studio, trying to make as much songs as he can so they can’t conjure any more reasons to tie him down.

He hears someone put a key to the door and twist the knob. The door opens and a shocked face greeted him after taking a look at the room where a few days old take out boxes and trash are scattered. It was also starting to smell. “Hyuk, how come you’re still here?” asks Matt, one of the sound engineers he works with, and also his best bud.

“I dunno, man. Same old. What day is it today?” Hyuk answers back.

“Dude, its Friday evening. Last I saw you was Monday afternoon, in this same room. How many hours of sleep have you gotten since then? Do you eat as much as you should? Do you even at least wash your face?” Matt kept firing questions while looking concerned for his friend.

He releases an exasperated sigh. “I don’t have time for any of those. I need to finish ten songs before this quarter ends so I can shove it in their faces and let me go. But something’s wrong with me, Matt. I’m on a slump. On the time I need my creative juices the most, I get nothing. I used to produce songs like magic, but recently, all I’ve made are crap. I can’t and won’t go out of this building until I’ve met that deadline.” He pulls his hair out of frustration, closing his eyes and slouching down from his chair, looking hopeless.

Matt understands why his friend is being like this. He’s well aware of his situation but he doesn’t know how to help him out. It's also a problem that he's a perfectionist so nothing is good enough until he says so. This is the first time he’s seen Hyuk A.K.A. Dean, or more known as Deanfluenza for their colleagues in the music biz look this bad and stressed out. He sits down on the other chair, facing his friend. “I can see how frustrated you are, but staying in this box won’t get you off that slump. You need fresh air. You need to clear your mind and off that pressure. You need to get out of here.”

Hyuk took a few seconds to mull over what Matt said, then looked at his friend with a resigned face. “Okay. I dunno what I’m going to do once I'm out of here though. You know I don’t go anywhere else other than my house and the studio.”

Matt suddenly thinks of a brilliant idea. “Why don’t you talk to the President and ask for a leave. You still have three months until the deadline anyway. Go home to Korea and recharge. I bet seeing your mom and eating her cooking will do wonders for you. Take the chance to visit some old friends too. Meet a girl. Live like a normal person for a few days.” Matt chuckles at the last sentence.

Hyuk agrees that it might help if he takes a break and go home. He’s been in the US for a couple of years now and the change of scenery will definitely lift his spirits. And just maybe, it’ll get him out of his slump too.
