Yin-Yang
Description
It is said that the world is balanced. For every good deed, there is a bad one. For every bad deed, there is a good one. And for all things bad, there is a little bit of good. Vise-versa for all things good. The good are typically protected by angels while the bad are loomed over by the demons. This is a story about the two creatures being being forced to work together to stop a few girls from tipping the power balance, but, a dark secret the angel holds might be the thing that drives them apart, making them enemies once again.
Foreword
"Wooyoung." The said boy heard someone calling his name. Turning around, he saw a boy about his age. A faceless and nameless boy who seemed like a distant memory to Wooyoung. But, he knew he recognized that black hair and that body. Where did I recognize it from though? He thought to himself as the boy came closer to him. Before they could touch though, there was an explosion and Wooyoung went flying backwards.
Jolting awake in bed, Wooyoung brings a hand up to cover his left eye which was aching so much that he had a headache on the left side of his head as a result. Taking the painkillers that the doctor had given him, he got ready for his first day at a new school. After his last year of high school, his parents decided to move to Seoul. So, instead of going to university with his friends, he has to start all over in a new university. Of course he would have to make new friends even if he did go to university with his friends, but, he didn't expect to have all his friends be new friends.
Sighing to himself, Wooyoung ate his breakfast silently, ignoring and refusing to participate in the chatter of his parents. When finished with breakfast, he left the house and waited for the bus, looking for the route to the university on his phone as he did so. When the bus finally came, he got on and waited for it to get to the train sation before taking the train to the university.
Overall, it was an hour of a trip, which Wooyoung did not particularly like. But, he decided not to worry about the negatives of coming to a new university. Instead, he thought about the opportunities. At least he gets to escape the merciless bullying that he had gone through back in Busan. Because he was so nice, being an angel and all, the bullies targetted him the most. Sure, he could have used his powers to make them good, but he has always believed that humans should have the right to choose what path they want to take. That is what separates them from angels after all, their free will.
Unfortunately, he was wrong about the bullying. He was looking through his phone to see what class he had to be in when he bumped into someone. When he looked up, he saw that the boy who he had bumped into spilled his coffee all over himself because of the collision. "I'm so sorry." Wooyoung apologized immediately, but the boy scowled at him.
"Watch where you're going, new boy!" Wooyoung figured the boy could tell that he was new just by looking at him. It was a skill that everyone picked up after the first year of high school. After that time, you just picked up behaviours and whatnot and could tell apart the high school people from the junior high people. And in this case, the new people from the regular people the other boy was used to seeing.
"Hey, I said I was sorry, okay? No need to be so angry, you can just clean it." Wooyoung points out innocently, making the other boy growl dangerously at him now. But then he nodded in agreement, much to Wooyoung's surprise.
"You're right. I'm sorry too, I wasn't looking where I was going either." The unknown boy shrugged a little. "Don't worry about it."
"Really?" Wooyoung asked. The other boy smiled mischievously.
"No, not really." The boy pulled his hand back, curling his fingers into his palm to turn it into a fist as he did so. Before Wooyoung could feel the impact of the boy's fist on his patched left eye so that no one sees it, there was a bright white light, sneding the two boys flying away from each other.
"Nichkhun." Wooyoung heard the group of boys calling out to the boy that he assumed was the one who was about to punch him. When Wooyoung looked up, he found his eye throbbing more than it ever has before. Bringing his hand up over his eye, he noticed that the eyepatch was gone and the boy named Nichkhun was staring at him with shock and a bit of fear. Wooyoung blinked a few times before he noticed that NIchkhun's right eye had a marking similar to the one on his left eye. His being red while Nichkhun's was blue though.
"W-Who are you?" NIchkhun questions Wooyoung with wonder.
Okay, I can't say this is my first fanfic since it isn't. I also can't say that I haven't written a fanfic in a while 'cause I did write recently. The thing is, I can't do it quickly as I used to before, so, please be patient with me. I may forget my ideas since I can't get to it quickly, but I will eventually remember and finish the fic. Have fun reading and please feel free to leave any comments about how I'm doing so far, how you're liking the story, and whatever else.
